EE: Parking-gate
Can't wait to see where this goes next, I was on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns tonight.
Just where will Kim park inappropriately next??? Will there be a mad dash to the Debenhams car park when she forgets to put the disabled badge in the window? Will she park at such an angle that it will be proper difficult to get out of the back right door? Or the back left door? I'm not sure I could handle it if she leaves the windows open an inch and the interior gets a bit damp when it rains. Quality, character driven drama like this is what Eastenders is all about. |

Maybe she goes to a BHS store but forgets its closed down. That'll really make her mad. Imagine all the twists they could do with that.

I wonder if the badge eventually held hostage by somebody? could it witness Les dressed up? Aunt Babe blackmailing somebody? Or get caught in Claudette's cleavage? I can't wait for the next episode! ![]()

Poor Pearl. With parents like she has, she is easily a shoe in for being a future tragic heroine in years to come. Stacey Slater-Branning-Fowler better watch her back.

I don't get why Vincent was so bothered about it being his car.
Why does that matter, would he rather she took a lover and got parking tickets in his car |

Wow another huge storyline! Hopefully Tameka can get the chance to shine in her role with the amount of material given. I still haven't gotten over Toilet-gate and Bin-gate

She really does. I feel for her. I can't wait to see how she rebels in years to come. Especially when her and Ollie become the next big future soap couple.

There's a car outside my flat parked at a right squiffy angle. Perhaps Eastenders were filming on location?

Maybe its the basis for a new spin off following the Kalfie one, where each week Kim and the badge go to a new destination.

I hope Kim is killed off soon. She's driving me mad now. Also this is utterly unacceptable stealing her sister in laws disabled permit because she always shops.

I think Kim will park her car on Spring Lane just in front of the houses where
Gavin Sullivan Henry Hubbard And Eric Mitchell used to live

It's certainly up there with snake gate, cold cuts gate, and bin gate in terms of epic EE drama. Quote:

Maybe Vincent will park his car in somebody else's garage? Let's hope it's not Donnas.

The Mirror have done a story about a few people 'slamming' the show for this on Twitter. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/i...-shows-8919673
You can tell they're biased against the show. This line is particularly ridiculous: Regular viewers are more accustomed to the programme's hard-hitting story-lines such as baby snatching and accidental murders. Neither of those things have ever been an everyday staple of the soap. I've been enjoying the focus on everyday life in recent episodes. The eps have flowed well because the writing has been good. And after DTC's awful last year where characters were being scarified left, right and centre for sensational plots, it's nice to see characters brought back down to earth, with some damage limitation going on in some cases. The show has to get cracking with some storylines/drama at some point but right now I'm enjoying seeing characters again. EE has always had everyday scenes. They're not a new phenomenon by any means. It's these what make you care about characters when it all goes wrong for them. DTC just wasn't very good at that side of things when he wasn't neglecting it completely. With LN it was overkill. It's all about balance. It's fine for the show to be lacking storylines right now because SOC has only just got started and the show needed grounding somewhat. I hope when drama comes though that it's the believable kind and that SOC doesn't get carried away as DTC so often did. |
