CS- Ericas Back
Haven't seen her for ages. Wonder will Kate Oates still renew her contract. If not it would be good to have Claire back in Emmerdale though as Kim Tate.

Really like Erica, but she's just never been right for the corner shop. She should be behind the bar at the Rovers with Liz and Eva.

She isn't right for Coronation Street.
Get her back on Emmerdale where she belongs. |

Back? She's been on screen a fair bit over the last week or so. Mainly filler crap as Erica desperately failing to be the world's greatest step mummy.
I feel sorry for Claire King. After her strong feisty meaty roles in ED and Bad Girls, it's sad to see her act out what she does on Corrie. But she's been honest enough to admit that the roles dried up and she can't be choosy anymore. Eastenders should snap her up. I think she would fit in like a charm. |

Her pairing with Nick was dreadful and her one with Dev isn't much better.
She's such a peripheral character which is a shame as I think she has the potential to be a main player. |

How does Corrie manage to do it? In the last few years they've cast three soap legends in new roles (Michelle Collins (Cindy/Stella), Sue Johnston (Brookside's Sheila Grant/Gloria) and now Claire King (Kim Tate/Erica) and ballsed up every single one of them.

The problem is they ARE too identifiable as soap legends...and frankly, will never be as good in their new role.
It was the same with Michael Starke (Sinbad from Brookside/Jerry Morton). EE/ED haven't really ever done this, preferring to take less 'iconic' people from rivals soaps like Chris Bisson or Bill Ward etc |

Such a shame how criminally underused she is, I still fantasize about how incredible a Kim Tate return would be on emmerdale.

Plus Sue looked like she had a few "procedures" beforehand, which didn't suit her one bit - look at the state of Barbara - why would she worry about a few wrinkles. Also I think they are maybe too iconic in their previous roles..... I'm not a fan of casting "stars". If it's someone relatively unknown - they're more believable. |

Claire King seems wasted in Corrie but then again Corrie is still struggling even with Kate Oates at the helm.

Both Zoe Lucker & Jamie Lomas should never have been axed from the show in my opinion. |
