CS: The Shariff Show !
I see CS are doing well limiting his screen time.. If anything he had more scenes than ever !!
He must've had half of the airtime tonight ! |

He must've had half of the airtime tonight ! As Sharif and Sonia are ruining this show at the moment. The quicker The Sheriff gets sacked the better |

There is an article on Digital Spy that says he was in too many scenes to edit out tonight - and even this week. However they are now going to start looking at episodes already filmed and start phasing out his scenes where possible until they can write him an exit offscreen. One day soon he will just disappear.
Editing him out will become easier as they always film extra scenes with characters that don't make it into the final cut. They probably will have to film some extra scenes? They have said his exit will be quite easy to do as the storyline was always going to be about the family's reaction to his affair ultimately. I am guessing he will one day either leave a 'Dear John' letter or he will be found dead in his shed or bedroom and we won't see the body (other than a brief dummy or extra)? Given all the rewrites they have had to do over the years in writing someone out quickly, they have landed on their feet with this one. Someone like Sharif would probably be ashamed of his actions so could run off or kill himself. They can still do their story of the family's reaction and they csn take out their anger on Sonia. |

I still think that the only believable exit for Sharif is death.
Having him run away and shut the door on a 45 year marriage is, in my view, not believable in the slightest. A quick, clean death and then leave Yasmeen and the others to pick up the pieces is a recipe for good drama. Especially now that Alya knows about the affair. |

Yasmeen could throw him out. She's a very independent woman.
The producers have said they will cut as much as they can of his scenes as quickly as they can. Obviously they couldn't cut anything from last night's - there wouldn't have been time to cut great chunks and edit in replacement scenes even for this week. I'm sure they'll work as quickly as they can to make the episodes feature him as little as possible, but that will mean inserting scenes from the next episode and then a bigger chunk from the next episode into the one they've added to and so on. A nightmare for the editing staff. |

I just hope they don't demonise the character like len fairclough was or Bruce Jones. But no doubt they will say he had many affairs and he had other kids..

I really liked the Sharif character, can't see him in the same light now but Yasmeen and the youngsters are credible. So good riddance to Sharif, may it be permanent! |

I'm really liking Alya at the moment, however I don't agree with the blackmail but I love her feisty! Can't stand Sonia, can't wait for someone to whack her one. I don't understand why Alya has not told her ex husband and the rest of their friends. I would shame the stupid woman! They all just think her marriage broke down! I'd let them all know the real truth. Nobody would want her after!

I like Alya too though I couldn't quite get my head around her blackmailing Grandad. It seemed so out of character for such a nice girl. Ah well, it is soapland.

Well it wouldn't be Corrie if we didn't have yet another blackmail plot. That is the third one this year.
