I was waiting for them to check the plates on the second RV and find that they were the same, just as an old version of Joshua wandered out...

Last in the series next week I believe. A-men to that is all I can say, how I have stuck with this series over the last few episodes I don't know. I would give up if the end wasn't in sight. Would be amazed if it's back for a second series, but I won't be watching again if it is. Bad.

Loved how Brianna kept shouting, "This is bullshit!" Just summed it up for me.

Should we try guessing how it ends?
Perhaps someone wakes up and realises it was all a dream (well, more like a nightmare really) induced by too much wine and cheese?

Mom got sucked up but at least her Aviators are left on earth - A family heirloom to be shared between the daughters? We will never know because even SyFy can't be desparate enough to commission another run.
Without doubt, the worst series I've watched from start to finish. Compulsively awful. |

I couldn't bear the thought of catching up on the whole thing so I skipped a few episodes and just watched the finale. They certainly dangled the prospect of another season. Not sure if it has any kind of a cult following....

Portable black holes? Sure, why not? Though I think they could have made those chunks of moon a bit more impressive, i.e. bigger...
"Any day that you can shoot a huge malevolent man in the ass and not answer for it, that day can not be called a total waste" ![]() But that apocalypse was the first wave of three, so presumably there's another couple of serieseses to come after this one! And in any case they have to Find Mom And Return Her Shades To Their Rightful Place before it's all over. And have a slightly clearer narrative thread (not necessarily involving a series of lectures) so we can properly follow the 'why' of some of it... But it was all based on scientific punch cards so therefore totally OK

"The end of the world is happening and you stop for sex?"
Why not? That's probably the only smart thing the moron son did this series. Certainly was less weird than the sister watching him take a piss. Last two episodes were pretty crap. Although I like the radio guy and the government people from last week were semi interesting. Shame they didn't come in earlier. No interest in the second season as it went from "so crap it's funny" to just plain dog shit. *Sigh* Was actually looking forward to them getting wiped out by the moon Oh well.

Just caught up with it.
What a cliffhanger to end on! I seriously thought everyone on earth would die, with the family escaping in some sort of spaceship so we could move into a sci-fi show next season. I'm confident that it will be renewed. (from what I could gather, 'something' was uniting the spiritual and the physical so collapsing barriers between parallel universes which was why everything was happening because, statistically speaking, among infinite parallel universes everything, somewhere is possible. Call me cynical, but that sounds a little like a get-out clause to me...) |

I would have thought standing in full view would also not help in the 'trouble going' department? It's a bit different from 'keeping an eye on' - then again, if you have been cooped up in an RV with your family knowing exactly when you have been going, what number it was, and what strange noises occurred during those visits, maybe you just don't care any more.

... But I'm not sure why I am bothering to quibble about that one thing when the whole series was completely loopy.

Nice to see people getting into the spirit of it Obviously if they all got killed they would be replaced by their alternate legendary universe selves, or possibly evil robot us-es.

On the basis that ones that get squished into ours now are the same ones that got squished into it before, and through history every x thousand years, so out of the infinite possibilities, just a limited set. Or something - I don't think it's the get-out as such, I think they are using it as the actual cause - the folding waves (or possibly waving folds) of creation bouncing off each other and doing a foldy wavey thing, assuming I understood the 'splaining'.And that's where the monsters come from. See? This multi universe thing is a doddle

The programme does have its own website which has some interesting information about how some of the scenes were put together.
I haven't yet found whether it was intended to be a serious drama or a spoof! ![]() http://www.syfy.com/aftermath/cast/1 |

It's all very well using some black holes to send the moon fragments to another dimension but what happens to the dimension that they've been sent to??
If the moon has exploded in each dimension doesn't that now mean that one unfortunate Earth has two lots of moon fragments about to crash into it?? |
