For what looked like the arrest pen for a shut-down rave, with people waiting to be processed and charged, one might be forgiven for misunderstanding - the behaviour of lot of variously doped-up end-of-world partygoers who had been corralled for their own safety might be indistinguishable from 'about to go totally nuts'.

Also I don't know the name of the dance the guy behind her was doing, sort of (in the spirit of naming conventions) 'long strides, short sprint' and a couple of other potentially nameable ones in the background too.

I will admit to the tiniest hint of a possibility of mentally filling in some details that might not have a strict adherence to the specific scripted narrative...

Perhaps they've instigated a quality threshold and this horseshit doesn't meet the requirements?!

What can I say, I have never seen anything so ridiculous.

The last show I saw getting mocked this much in Cult was surely Revolution.

Oh great, now I have to go and see if I said anything on any threads about that, what I said, and either apologise profusely or pretend I was being hilariously ironic.

TBH I wouldn't count any of this as ridicule because it's a serious apocalypse with loads of myth/fantasy and disaster movie stuff thrown in and if you don't find something to complain about then they are doing it wrong. People relentlessly taking the P will continue to watch because secretly they like it

Was Revolution more recent than Outcasts? I wore out two pairs of stout boots giving that PoS a well deserved kicking.

Aftermath is hypnotically bad. It perfectly encapsulates the word "inept" as if everyone involved has no idea how to put a television show together.

More recent I think, though that's from a freeview scheduling perspective which may or may not coincide with satellite/cable/arr-jim-lad.
[ tried a search, now not sure if there was even a UK thread for Revolution ]

Thinking about it, the way the episodes seem to be going so far have an almost comic-strip feel, which would certainly answer the question of why the shades never come off, it's the Character As Drawn, and Mr Special Ops Guy also had shades, so that's the official method of recognition with a teensy teensy bit of heavy caricaturing...

Being chased by nuts in an armoured car strikes me as being a very comic strip style 'tune in next week' thing.

Only a year later Outcasts was 2011 whereas Revolution started in 2012

Terra Nova, a show that had a vaguely similar premise to Outcast was almost as bad

This is the UK pace thread for Revolution. Generally implausible but fun!

I'm starting to think that the character is actually the sunglasses and that they're wearing Ann Heche instead of the opposite. They definitely have more charisma than Heche and let's face it, that's the only logical reason for them to be on in the middle of the night!

Elsewhere, I've realised the dumb "genius" daughter is only constantly referred to as a genius because all the other characters are so intellectually limited that even she looks like a genius! I mean come on! This is the second week in a row the boy has trusted complete strangers who are at the very least worryingly suspicious. Wouldn't the apocalypse make you hyper vigilant?

The Amish boy is seriously weird too in an "I NEED to kiss you!" kind of way. That's not going to end well, I'd have left him on the road. He doesn't look like much use in combat, probably still reeling from that close defeat to the wet paper bag

We can add evil parasitic bugs to the tick sheet also. Great show

Wonderful how the girl reached the road at exactly the same time as her family in the motorhome.

When the demon left the preacher presumably it found another host (the Amish boy)? Why didn't the rest of the family see that happening?

Of course! The road to serendipity is an extension of the space-time continuum, all places in all of history cross it at some point.

I think they just dissipate and return to their previous respawn point? Having them possess the nearest live body would raise a lot of difficult questions and the possibility of psychotic bunnies.

Less than a week. The US Pace thread is here.

No one has commented on the last US episode.

Further research didn't turn up anything enlightening, though there were a fair few wasted people being interviewed on the streets for edgy yoof TV shows and presumably by some aghast 'proper' reporters too.

On the other hand since then - and in the true spirit of sharing I generously inflict this upon you all - I keep getting Bob The Builder in my head doing 'big fish little fish cardboard box'.

Impressive - It's actually getting worse. First sighting of those demon plants was like something out of 1970s Dr Who.

It seems like the shade-wearing disease is spreading to others now. Is there a reason we're not getting much sight of Heche's pupils I wonder.....?

Wandering about in the forest is such cheap telly. The X Files has a lot answer for.

Japanese demon flesh eating plants this week as well

And did they say Banshees?

Who are these men who find Heche attractive enough to give her bony ass the nickname, "booty"? And customised from "beauty" which is even more unbelievable.

Does everyone in this just see the apocalypse as an opportunity for copping-off? Sick of American TV that's been bowdlerised to appeal to hormonal teenagers.

Wafty floaty banshee woman - The official shark-jumping moment. ****ing mental.

At least we've got rid of Hippy Aunt permanently

The family may think they're in a secure base now but as Rick Grimes will tell you that doesn't count for much

If Booner starts doing an Irish Drinking Song or a Hoedown we'll know he's a Feverhead
