So mad aunt insists on allowing the infected guy into the base and the base leader allows it! Well it was one stupid decision too many for her!!

Anne Heche must have insisted that the script would have male characters finding her character sexy.

This just gets better! I hope they don't run out of bonkers myths to incorporate

So, when was the last time anyone ever heard a soldier-meets-girl conversation that included "sorry I thought you were much older" that was ever in any way not totally creepy? But hey, it's the apocalypse, the other girl has an underage boy puppying* after her, so I guess that balances out.

Though the demon plant isn't anything new, anyone who's ever spent time in the countryside or even small overgrown bits of suburban gardens will know that brambles and roses have a life of their own and will try and capture you and if you don;t swear in exactly the right way they don't let go and will eat you so don't tell me that bit's not real

* I have no idea if that's a word but I hope the sense is clear and I make no apology for verbing a noun like that

I'm not sure if Amish Boy is underage... it may just be that his naivety makes him seem younger than he is

I'm fairly sure 'fifteen' was mentioned in the early stages of their whirlwind romance, shortly after the intensely observed gratuitous display of ablution techniques in a non-plumbed domicile which I believe marked the change from 'interest' to 'deeply spiritual attachment'.

[ though to be clear, I'm not fussed about it, merely an observation of a world of cats and dogs living together, and moss growing on the wrong side of trees ]

It's impressively terrible. I cant stop watching it.

It's a real accomplishment for them to make main characters so unlikeable. They are so judgmental. The dad is happy to poison a bunch of strangers over sharing with them but frowns upon the black guy hanging dangerous enemies as a warning.

Ann Heche is so over the top aggressive in nature that I'm amazed her daughters haven't shot her yet. Especially when she was threatening the bloke who was pointing his gun at the dumbass Aunt. At least she's gone now though, one stupid mistake too many even for this show.

Genius girl mentions she's a genius again.

The Amish boy is definitely going to kill someone or be offed horribly, I cant decide which is more likely.

The Banshee in the wardrobe was hilarious too.

Add killer plants to the tick sheet.

It so desperately wants to be TWD on steroids. All involved should never work again.

All they had to do to make this work is to treat it as comedy. Would've then been the Police Squad of sci-fi TV.

She has to keep doing that or else we wouldn't know she was a genius as she hasn't done anything remotely genius-like

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that came off a bit creepy...she's only 16 but he thought she was 21, in other words an adult like him, but that didn't stop him, oh and her parents don't seem bothered at all or even interested.

At least the Amish boy and the other girl are both teenagers

I guess when population numbers are down during the apocalypse then any fertile female is fair game!!

I thought it was stupid enough when he let the aunt into the base in the first place on Karen's insistence, just because she's her sister. That doesn't mean she wasn't infected! They don't seem to do the fever checks that the guards at the official checkpoint were doing the other week (looking inside the mouth) although I realise there is no demon test yet.

Did the writers get fed up of having to distinguish between feverheads and skinwalkers, so they decided to combine them from now on?

Wayne Brady's gang seem to be the "shoot first and ask questions later, if at all" type of post-apocalypse armed nutters

I was already thinking they were one and the same so I don't think it's a writing change - or is it - unless that was me doing one of those leaps of logic filling in the as yet unrevealed things with assumptions based on other stuff I've seen...?

Feverheads are just crazy from a virus but were still just human. When they die there is no black figure leaving their body.

Skinwalkers are humans taken over by demons/aliens/whatever. They can act as normal (non crazy) humans. They can also move really fast and fly (though this might drain their power). When they die the demon/alien/whatever leaves their body and flies off.

It's possible that if the demon/alien/whatever leaves them before they die then they would be ok again.

I had been thinking the feverheads were early-stage skinwalkers where it hadn't grown properly yet (and not in control), hence no smoke.

That was my understanding too. Although I'm pretty sure the first skinwalker they killed in their house was acting batshit crazy. So, I don't think the writers even had a clear definition of both as lets face it crazy from plague or crazy from possession, well, it's pretty hard to tell for viewers which is which.

I think the only way to possibly tell them apart is that Feverheads always act a bit weird whereas Skinwalkers can be quite calm to begin with

Or as a Papal legate may have said during the Albigensian Crusade

Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius.

I gave up on this. I watched three episodes to give it a chance but it bored me so I cancelled the series link and stopped bothering.

Without looking at the translation, I'll take a first stab at this meaning something along the lines of 'weighs the same as a duck and is therefore a witch'...?

And after looking, I suppose it's not much different - IIRC most of the tests and 'trials by' of ye olden dayes tended to be quite permanent and possibly the origin of the concept of a determination being the last one you will ever know about. now of course shortened to "the judge's decision is final"
