The hell is up with me. C.O.U.N.T.Y. - although from a US perspective, It would be state?
one would assume everyone he knew and loved is dead, that why he came for revenge as there is nothing there for him. So no reason he wont hang around until he finds out Felicity killed his whole family then he will have a bit of a dilemma I guess having grown fond of her in team Arrow?

Personally, I think I'm going to wait to watch it on Sky from now on.

Decent episode. I'm not getting my hopes up because I know that, once there's a 'team' again, we'll be back to 10+ people spinning around and whacking eachother with bows/guns.

Did I miss something, or was the dead cop from the end of last weeks episode not even mentioned??

I fear the same thing.

Completely forgot about the cop I can't remember, either

Mentioned very briefly at the beginning of the episode with some sort of comment about the brutality of the attack if I remember rightly.

She didn't kill them though, did she? Not being able to stop a missile from hitting a target isn't the same as pushing the trigger.

She redirected the Missile from it's actual target though, Ragman's family would be alive if Felicity hadn't interfered.

So he probably will end up blaming her.

she redirected it to blow up his home town for the greater good and lesser casualties than had it hit somewhere else. But she still technically killed his family, reasons aside he may not be rational about it, your family dying is a tad emotive.

Watched the premier and I think I'm done with Arrow. It's boring. The problem is Arrow worked best when it was just him and Diggle with Felicity as the funny assistant who knows her boss is lying to her but never questions him. That's why those first 2 seasons are so good.

It became naff when everybody suddenly became a vigilante acquiring skills in a matter of months that took Oliver 5 years to learn. All that leather lol Don't even get me started on Ra's asking Oliver to be the next Ra's al Ghul. Ridiculous.

They've tried to turn Arrow into Flash - a show that works with a large group helping Barry with the science of his powers because of its lighter tone and the fact that is how The Flash was created: with scientists that made a mistake. The coolness factor of Arrow was lost the moment everyone became a crime fighting badass.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it, much closer in style and feel to Seasons 1 and 2 both in terms of the flashbacks having a direct relevance to what's happening in the present day and in the tightness of the episodes.

Last week's was a case in point, Oliver learning he has to trust in the people he surrounds himself with and Diggle facing the opposite - that he can't even trust what's in front of him.
Loved seeing Floyd Lawton/Deadshot back, hope that wasn't going to be his only appearance, I'd love him to continue on with his Suicide Squad anti-hero persona and I really hope that it wasn't just Diggle's imagination but I suspect it was.

Really liking this new direction they're taking Diggle in, he's determined to punish himself over what happened with Andy and it's jarring to see a character who has always been the straight one in a position where he feels he's crossed the line.

Enjoyed Cody Rhodes in his Arrow debut, the nod to Stardust was clever and he worked well as the muscle turned meta human in the Joker-eque homage to a vat of chemical spill. Also loved Oliver's quip about vigilantes in hockey masks, always makes me laugh when they include other Easter Egg meta like that.

Also interesting to see Adrian Chase arrive on the scene as the new DA. I wonder how long before we see him in his other role.

Also loved Evelyn's little dig at Curtis and the comments about him being a former Olympia. Also like that they're addressing both the mysterious other archer and the cop who died in the opening episode and also Felicity being responsible for Rory's family all dying.

And I absolutely love the Bratva stuff, Anatoli is awesome.

Spoiler

Another quality episode for me, still feeling more like Seasons One and Two than the last couple and I'm loving that the flashbacks are back to being directly relevant to what's happening in the present time.

Tobias Church is a seriously deranged and scary man, he's working really well as one of this season's big villains imho. Also really liking the DA Adrian Church although I really hope they don't have him turn out to be Prometheus, as I've seen speculated but that they do go down the route of his original comic book identity as Vigilante.

Loved that we got a glimpse of just how dangerous Oliver can be with both the background of his Bratva prison experience but also how easily he took the team out without really trying and their realisation about just how easy he'd been going on them.
Also liked that they addressed the Havenrock issue and will now move on. The scenes with Felicity and Rory were very well done.

David Nykl’s Anatoly is still one of my absolute favourite characters, so glad we're getting to see more and more of the Russian aspect of Oliver's five years away.

Also great to see Lyla back with all the ARGUS toys she has at her fingers although how they think the US military isn't going to think she had something to do with her husband's escape will be interesting to see and how soon Diggle gives up the self loathing and goes back to his penance by doing the right thing in taking out the criminals as Spartan.

Next week's episode promo looks good too.

It always has been, it survived a nuclear blast, why would a bullet dent it?

Hah, so much for being one of this seasons big bads.

He's definitely the toughest member of the team. I don't realistically see how anyone (even Ollie) could beat Ragman in a one on one (if it ever came down to it).

I think Prometheus knew Ollie was Green Arrow anyway and whoever he (or she I guess) is has a connection to both of them.

There's a fair bit of speculation going around that it's Tommy Merlyn, though I'm more inclined at this stage to think it's Victor (Mike Dopud); the Bratva guy who dislikes him.

We can't even tell via the voice as like Flash they are using a diffrent actor Prometheus is voiced by Michael Dorn aka Worf from Star Trek TNG/DS9

One or two theories I've had about Prometheus are that's it's Slade's partner from the island somehow, or someone related to one of the people Ollie went after on his hit-list from season one.

Not sure who, though

I the preview for next week the list is shown the new team are reading it so I guess it must mean something.

Finally caught up with last week's episode and indeed! But I think he worked well for the introduction story line they were using about getting the team together.

Loved seeing Human Target, shame he couldn't stick around a bit more and the episode as a whole felt like the finale of the mini-arc. It was well done, although I still wonder why anyone would sign up to be a police officer in Star City!

I really hope it's not Tommy Merlyn but I'm betting it is and it will be probably because of Flashpoint - i.e. Tommy won't have died at the end of Season One of Arrow Ollie will have either never got to him or something else will have happened and Tommy will consider Oliver an enemy.
Plus because of Colin Donnell's commitments elsewhere, they're able to use someone else's voice and a stuntman in the suit and he's probably only going to appear right at the end in a guest role reveal.

Also loved the bonding moments between Diggle and Rene, they've both made mistakes they're having to live with the consequences of and it worked well that it was John who brought him round.

And I absolutely love David Nykl's Anatoly, I would watch him Bratva-ing throughout the whole episode and be happy

My number 1 pick is the female reporter - Arrow hasn't had a female big bad yet.

Or if they really want to keep people guessing then it could be 2 people sharing the role.
