Check out this discography and a few tracks from it. They are actually good, fun, catchy singles. His music career spanned from 1988 - 1993 - six years - yet he is mostly remembered for the hair, and his presenting.

This is "Lets all chant" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80ElxWwOIfw

This is "Use It Up and Wear it out" I'm sure its been on an advert too. Not sure if Pat is the original artist or not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PWy2Q_cNOA

I can only get this version of Hot Hot Hot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhK--ujMtqU

And this version of their penultimate single https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CA351WCc3s

What do you think? What is Mick up to these days?

I think they did horrible, cheesy karaoke versions of classic disco tunes and should have stuck to their dayjobs.

Without exception, the original versions of the songs were a million times superior to the horrors they inflicted

I don't agree.

It gets no recognition- and that's exactly what it deserves.

Someone asked a couple of months ago why the music forum of DS seems slow...Threads like this may answer that persons question.

What's next starry_rune? Are you going to be claiming the songwriting skills of The Cheeky Girls is underrated or the musicianship of Mr Blobby doesn't get the recognition it deserves?

He's not. His music preferences are truly dreadful. Unless he does it for a joke.

To be fair, if we only discussed Whitney Houston, the top 40, and 70s rock on a loop, they would be a hell of a lot slower.

Many people were not aware Pat had singles, now they are.

I will choose a more talented artist for my next thread. In the meantime, feel free to start something yourself

I cringed so hard that I've twisted a muscle in my neck. Have you ever felt embarrassed for someone?

Also - has anyone ever been more '80s than Pat Sharp?

It's something not many people will thank you for...somethings are best left in the past or actually wiped from history never to be mentioned again

I really liked I haven't stopped dancing yet, very fun happy song, i like all the others too but not as much.

I remember trying to buy their album but couldnt get my hands on a copy.

Whether the music was of your taste or not, the music was only ever to make money for charity.

Mentioned Pat, i loved Funhouse!!
