Emmerdale needs more praise.
I have been entertained by the show lately. My only downside is waiting ages for Cain & Charity to reunite.
Tonight, we had comedy with Nicola/Jimmy at the bereavement group and Marlon gluing the furniture to the floor - a little less on the adultery or doom & gloom which seems to easily upset people. I liked the dognapping story because it featured two characters I liked in Ross & Charity. It had it's drama of the pair luring a dog away from it's owners, plus comedy of the Rottweiler chasing them to the playground. Keep up the good work Emmerdale, and Iain McLeod. |

In the interests of balance I'll just say that for me, exHO and his entire team of storyliners need taking out and shooting. I cannot believe just how quickly they have turned the show into a buttock-squeezingly embarrassingly unfunny pantomime.

![]() I'm with you 100% on this. The show has degraded into a British version of Neighbours with a bunch of comedy fails. It speaks volumes of MacLeod's ineptitude that the show he left (Hollyoaks) is experiencing a rejuvenation while the show he is on now is being destroyed. |

The writing has really gone downhill for a few months now and it is fast becoming a situation comedy. I hope things turn around. I am even going off charity, who has become terribly camp and a shadow of her former self.
All three main soaps are really flawed at the moment. But i get scared in expressing this in case i am accused of being negative and hard to please. But that isn't the case. |

I' ve quite enjoyed it lately but today's s ep was pretty awful
1 Jimmy and Nico exchanging insults and stuffing their faces at a bereavement group 2 comedy dognapping 3 two apparently tough, criminal, street wise characters trapped in a children's s play area by a dog who was more likely to lick them to death than bite them - like a scene by the Children' s Film Foundation. 4 corny gender role reversal Holly+ Jai, and Cain's s return and lovely PC Swirling were the only good points. |

What do you think of Hollyoaks? It is really good.
I am finding the US soaps much better than the UK soaps at the moment. |

Maybe you should give it another shot. As for the US soaps I think I'm gonna give Y&R another chance once Sally Susman's material starts airing. She is should be able to turn the show around.
Y&R had a sensational summer. It's a shame you never watched then. I hope you start watching it again. BB is a bit barmy at the moment but addicting. GH is perhaps my fav at the moment because it's coming to the end of some of it's arcs so a lot is going on. |

It was brilliant under Kate, it's still good but it seems more comedy? Or is it just me??
