I voted for Ken. He has been an inspiration to everyone who has come and gone over the years. His wisdom comes from many years sitting on his high horse. He has guided many of the residents with legal and personal advice. He instills confidence in everyone he touches, even with a barge pole. He's my go to guy if I ever need advice before I tweet something out to my followers. Head and shoulders above every misbegotten he is forced to contend with on that street. Talking of heads, where does he get that flowing mane from. A vote for Ken is a vote for stability. I can't believe I've been reduced to writing accolades about a bastard I can't stand. It just goes to show how fickle we are.

Some intetesting results here & suggestion that Kate Oates really needs to do something about the McDonalds!!
Liz was once a great character, not always 100% likeable but with multiple layers to her character, while Steve was a bit of a wideboy, a chancer who like many other male Corrie characters before him was a bit of a rogue but likeable with it!! Now Liz has morphed into a vile screeching old harridan who throws a childish tantrum every time she doesn't get her own way, while Steve had turned into a 'village idiot' to rival Gail circa 2015, who seems no longer capable of playing a serious scene!! I really aren't surprised that neither has gained the popularity in this poll that they would have had a few years ago!! |

Is it just me or does anyone else think the producers are giving the older residents stupid storylines and behavior patterns to make the younger ones more attractive to new and future audiences. I get the impression their appearances are going to get less and less and would be gone if not for the fact they have to rely on the core audience that kept it going for so long.
