Both as well as downloads. Many sites have them for pre-order now. Still hoping for that DVD since they were very visual shows and audio won't convey that.

Walked into HMV last night to pre order the vinyl set. I'd heard rumours for the last week that is was finally coming. Wasn't listed online when I went in store but it was on the HMV system. Pre ordered the CD set this afternoon. So excited for this! The show was amazing. I'm hoping that the DVD will eventually follow.

Possibly;

Kate hates how she looks
The recordings didn't come out well on both nights
She's still editing it

I've heard from a couple of sources that the footage recorded is fantastic but Kate said (2 years ago) that there was no rush to release right now. I'm assuming it's taken a lot of work to get it to the point Kate is happy to release? Or the fact the music has been taken from 22 nights to create the CD/Vinyl may have delayed her work on the DVD? We know how hands on she is with everything after all.

Kate is such a perfectionist but we're used to waiting. ☺ I hope she isn't bothered about how she looks. Happens to a lot of us women once you hit a certain age. She still looked fabulous. Maybe the DVD is next year's Xmas pressie.

I really hope she's not hung up on her figure. I remember the Daily Fail being pretty mean about her size. I think she's lovely as she is.

Not keen on live albums. But glad those die hard fans will get something.

Would rather a dvd. I am sure she will follow that up in her own time.

Really looking forward to this - really regret not trying to get tickets last year. Wasn't sure what she's do, and kind of thought it would be great of she does pretty much all of HOL including The Ninth Wave in its entirety, with something incredible theatrical to do it justice.

D'oh!

Would have preferred a career spanning hits collection.

I am delighted with this news. It was an amazing show. I particularly loved the live versions of many of her tracks. They added a lovely warm band feel. Hopefully a blue ray release next year?

Have pre-ordered the vinyl release! I can't wait! The sample of Prologue on Kate's website sounds divine. After two years of relying on crappy bootlegs for my fix when I want to relive the show this will be great.

I do hope though that a DVD/BluRay release may still happen. With Kate being Kate I have learned to never say never. Although having watched bootleg footage I'm honestly not sure the spirit of the show could be captured visually even as a high quality official release, so as disappointing as it will be I do understand if she's chosen to shelve the release and just go with the audio.

I'm not usually but Kate is a rare exception for me as her show was such a powerful experience I want something official to remember it by. If there's no DVD/Bluray release then I'll be grateful enough for this. It looks like a beautifully put together product and will be a lovely memento at the very least.

With Bertie being so instrumental in her doing the shows, I'm hoping he can use his influence with the DVD. Then everything else on shiny disc too! 😆

I don't think this is just any old live album. This is Kate we are on about. She is meticulous with her work. This has been 2 years in the making. She has allegedly gone through all 22 dates and selected the best performances of each song and put together this album. She produced it herself and according to PR, she hasn't re recorded vocals or cleaned her voice up at all. Prologue on her website is STUNNING! I think we will be in for a real treat with this. I suspect a DVD will appear eventually. I think the audio has taken up a lot of her time. I did hear a year ago that the footage is supposedly amazing but she wasn't in a rush to release it. I imagine it was the live album that she wanted to get out first.

As for a greatest hits... We don't really need one. Just listen to the albums. At least this will be a new take on a chunk of her songs and allows fans to hear her live, which (having been to BTD) we AMAZING!

I also love the fact we get an extra track 'Never Be Mine'. She rehearsed this song but never performed it at the concert.

I agree re geeatest hits. How many listen to The Whole Story? I'd rather get the albums out. There were rumours there would be an audio and many on FB wanted one too. Now many are moaning because it's not the DVD so say they won't buy it. For all we know she could be testing the waters before the DVD to see how popular it is after 2 years. All things come to Kate fans who wait. 😊

Yeah I've seen a few people on the Kate Bush FB group moan that they want a DVD. A DVD would be lovely but like with this album, we will just have to wait and see. I'm very excited for this album. I would love new material to come next. Depends on how she's been working. She may have been recording on the side, but I reckon it's not likely whilst doing this album.

Fingers crossed for the DVD though

Very nice post, designer! You give me a little extra hope a DVD might be yet to come.

I agree with you about a greatest hits. Personally I've never seen the point of them because there are almost always worthy songs left out. And with Kate I'm not sure it's her thing. I think she only released The Whole Story because she was contracted to, IIRC.

I cannot WAIT to hear Never Be Mine. So cool of her to include that, what a lovely little gift.

I despise "fans" like this. There were people leaving horribly demanding messages right on Kate's official social media accounts and I couldn't believe what I was reading. These are people old enough to know better but the entitlement and bitterness was off the charts. It made me feel so ashamed, and so bad for Kate. If I were an artist this kind of thing would make me not want to bother but thankfully Kate is made of much tougher stuff than me so hopefully she can see the moaners for what they are and focus on those of us who are grateful for what she does do.

Anyway, what people have entirely forgotten over the last few years is there was never any actual confirmation we'd get a DVD release in the first place, just that the show was being filmed. I totally understand the desire for one, I want one too, and the disappointment if none is forthcoming. But for people to be like spoiled toddlers about it is shocking.

When did people get like this?

Kate Bush isn't really a greatest hits type artist.

Anyone who is suggesting they won't buy the CDs because it's not the video aren't real Kate Bush fans IMHO.

Knowing the quality of her performances having been lucky enough to see her live in person and having access to a fairly high quality audio recording since... what people should be saying is these CD's are too cheap. They are worth more IMHO.

Simple as that really.

I can't stop listening to the clip of Prologue on her website. Really can't wait to hear how the rest of the songs sound. Something tells me this will become one of my most played albums!
