Not like the good old days? With super talent filling our screens, like Mike and Bernie Winters, Anita Harris, Lulu, Cilla, Barbara Woodhouse, Freddie parrot face junior, Rolf, Rita Webb, Cannon and Ball etc etc. In those days they really knew the meaning of talent and non-stop entertainment
Those halcyon days, when Mike was playing saxophone on stage Bernie popped his head out from the curtains. A wag shouted out from the audience, "Oh no! there's two of 'em!". I take your sarcastic point about being misty-eyed about the past but I'm afraid there were more talented performers than today, perhaps not as appealing as you would have liked, but still, more talented... x.

Is this worth watching now? I am a fan of Graham but is just American actors promoting films I probably won't see and we're supposed to be excited. As others have commented it's not a fun show anymore. When the guests click it's great but that can't be always an American actor. We're bored by them. Sorry about this, I hate that woman he has on his radio show. Is she sick? She sounds like an advert for molboro

That pink thing on Nadiya's head, doesn't look like a hijab. Has she become a more moderate muslim since Bake Off or did she think a hijab would increase her chances of winning?
Wow, that's a bit much. Feeling emboldened all of a sudden? Lucky you.
I've just been sarcastic in case you didn't notice. What you wrote was racist. Nothing more or less.

Holy shit! You ask a simple question when all the time, you should've been goose stepping up and down the street. Fact: on GBBO, she was wearing a hijab. Very modest and only her face was visible. On Graham Norton, she was wearing a pink turban type thing, that covered just her hair with her neck visible and an open at the top shirt, exposing her upper chest, below the throat. She's either changed since GBBO or she was never the modest muslim, she appeared to be.
Sorry if I appear to be a tad tetchy but these jackboots are a little tight.

You can't be racist towards a religion. People make fun of the way Nuns dress, the Pope and other religious outfits all the time no one cares as it's not a big deal and no one should be silenced by any religion.

Bet CF enjoyed saying about Princess Margaret and her Dad, I take it she meant Eddie Fisher.
Er, who else would she mean? Eddie Fisher was her father. It doesn't surprise me at all that him and Princess Margaret slept together - by all accounts they both put it about a fair bit.

I'm a little shocked at all the vitriol being directed towards Nadiya on here. She was a funny, lively and interesting guest I thought, and seems like a lovely person as well.

I like Carrie Fisher a lot, but felt she wasn't given enough room to shine.

The singer from Busted doesn't half fancy himself, does he? (Not that he isn't good-looking, but he used to make a big fuss about not wanting people to focus on his looks in the past). The song was a bit of a 'Get Lucky' rip-off too.

Unless one of those drunk American guests, who doesn't understand it, thinks it will be absolutely hilarious to pull the lever before we've heard their story.

Er, sorry, but I was just confirming that it was Eddie Fisher. I knew he was her father and that she used/had his name, but so many Hollywood people have several men they might refer to as Dad during their lives. Some people do have very racy lives don't.

Seems like a lot of people on one couch unless it's going to be a show of two halves again.

Last night's episode was soooooo much better than the previous week. Interesting guests, first-timers, everybody relaxed and having a laugh.

Much better than the insufferable egomaniacs (Toksvig, Perry and Hussein) from last week pushing their political and social agendas.

I think this is probably the first time I've seen him interviewed on TV in about a decade, so I could just about stomach the old anecdotes, and there must be some young people out there who haven't heard them before.

Whereas next week Will Smith, Helen Mirren and Martin Freeman are all on again for their second appearances this year, and Smith and Freeman are both making their fifth appearances in 5 years.

Then the week after that we've got Michael Fassbender for his fourth appearance in four years and James McAvoy making his eighth appearance in less than six years.

If we're going to ask how many times about anything on this show, then I think we need to start with the constant repeat guests.

I'm so tired of stars like Nicole Kidman turning up with their face frozen and just sitting there with that horrendous spooked look throughout the show. At one point she tried to laugh and it looked like she'd got Bell's Palsy. I know they're surrounded by yes men and women but surely there's someone in their life who can say, 'You look stupid - just stop it!'

I'm always against the introduction of a late guest, it interferes with the flow of the show, but even more so last night. Parky was very interesting in his own right but he killed the show stone dead by reducing the other guests to mere audience members. He would have been more suited to Newsnight or the Radio 2 Arts Show.

It took Dawn French approx 5 seconds to yet again tell us all that she is fat and ugly compared to other women. Has she EVER done an interview where she does'nt mention her size? I guess the laughter really does hide the pain.

I suspect Parky was there to quash any death rumours.
