These TV shows represent real politics, like Barbie represents real women.
So you think The Graham Norton Show can redress the balance? Anyway, this week no Trump jokes in the monologue, so maybe the producers are getting the message.

I thought it a good show. I'd have had Helen as the top guest over Will, but never mind. I don't think sexual assaulting strangers to see what they say is really acceptable on TV nowadays, but I guess you can get away with it if you are a rich celebrity like Will or Trump.

They weren't actually strangers though.

^^ Will said he did it to random strangers all over the world. I'm not talking of when he did it to Norton in the show.

Ye Gods, that was a cringe moment when Katie rightly put Will in his place re. Georgia. He was just making a 'dumb American joke' as he said afterwards, but she was having none of it. Talk about a sudden chill in the air. 😄

People on these forums take things way too seriously lol. They all just seemed to be having fun and not putting anyone in their place.

I thought laughing at Southern Railways was a bit too political though. Save it for Question Time etc etc etc

.
I think that light entertainment CHAT shows have a duty to present people with a variety of talking topics.

And as so many people here seem to choose to whinge and to bury their heads in the sand where "politics" is concerned, I'd say it is perhaps necessary to expose them to occaisional political messages via light entertainment.

I dunno, seemed a briefly awkward moment to me.

I thought it was back to form last night for Graham. Will Smith is always a great guest and no politics from Graham. NYE not as star studded as expected

BIB -- Totally agree and I'm surprised more people having picked up on this - as much as I enjoyed the show and laughed out loud at a lot of the content, I was disgusted that Will found it amusing to laugh about what is effectively sexually touching random strangers.

naomie is a lovely, beautiful woman
True. So is Katie Melua, who is incredibly classy and sweet. 😀

There should be an embargo on having McAvoy and Fassbender on again. It's bloody ridiculous now. Still, at least Norton can live out his tedious slash fiction fantasies while pretending it's the people who wrote the stuff that are the weird ones.

I thought this was Rondo Veneziano reborn 30 years later at the start of this song

Not a bad episode.

Wonder if there will be a clip of Carrie Fisher on his show from earlier this year at the end as a tribute to her like they did for Joan Rivers?

I didn't mind this episode, thought the 2 Irish lads coming on was a bit pointless, liked Classic House music.
