Whilst Anton isn't my favourite pro(someone more tall, dark and handsome is ), I don't get why there is so much loathing and hatred towards Anton or Kevin for that matter, as they both seem kind- we've never been harmed by them and they're not that bad. So why do they get so much?

It's funny, I do read some rather strongly worded criticisms of some of the pros, but I rarely see the word "hate" in posts.

I see far more about the Cliftons than Anton.

They have divisive personalities.

If hundreds of people are overwhelmingly expressing dislike of certain celebs or professionals, then there must be a reason. Could it possibly be that it's because they ARE unlikeable? Irritating? A bit of a knob?

Just because you don't see it (or "get" it), doesn't mean it's not there.

It's hardly hundreds of people! Just the same people repeatedly making the same comments.

I mean the public 'hate' Anton so much and find him so unlikeable that they usually vote him and his partners in to stay in much longer than would be expected given his partners' abilities.

And prior to Kellie, Kevin dodged two series' worth of bottom twos

To claim to hate someone on a show like SCD is beyond pathetic. I dislike a few of them but someone who says they hate any of them are imo sad individuals to say the least.

The more interesting question is what the haters did before there were public forums like this one? Did they go into Smiths, pick the assistant that looked the most at ease with themselves and shout random abuse at them? Hang out of the window at 5am criticising the milkman's technique?

There simply is no explaining the bile that pours out from these people and it's probably best not to try lest one become infected with whatever devil-spawned horror it is that diseases them!

By the same logic just because you see it doesn't mean it is!

I don't hate either of them but I do strongly feel that Anton has had his day and should leave the show. I just don't enjoy him. His Latin is crap, his Ballroom is lovely but Alijaz is better. I don't really enjoy his sense of humour, either. He adds nothing to the professional dances, either. So I just don't see the point of him anymore.

Kevin I loved in his first year and then went off him a bit. His hyperactive behaviour with Kellie last year drove me up the wall. His choreography can be wonderful at times and other times so frantic that watching it gives me a headache. Having said that I like him with Louise. I think her calm personality might be a good influence on him. And I absolutely loved their jive from start to finish. I think I could enjoy him again this year.

I don't see any "hate" for either of them. Strong dislike, perhaps, but that's not the same thing. The main complaint I see against Anton is that he is past it. That may not be strictly true but there is some merit in it. Kevin is complained about on two fronts, as far as I can see - his hyperness and the whole "Cliftons are taking over" piece. Well again, there is some merit in both views. I think 3 members of one family is a bit much, myself. But that's just my personal view. I don't see them ganging up on anyone or throwing their weight around in any way. They are friendly and professional at all times. I can live with that.

'haters' really is a very teenage word. No one in their right mind 'hates' strangers'. Its just silly.

The fact that people do not agree with each other about slebs or whatever, does not mean they hate the world. They are just exasperated by certain behaviour.

Forums - and social media in general - give people a platform to voice their opinions. If we can't handle others being more vocal then us, we should step away.

We do have a choice.

Some people seem to take their TV entertainment a bit too seriously.
And others just can't get through the day without a bit of hatred for someone they have never met.

It's a bit like the way some people can't get by without passing judgement on their fellow posters, isn't it?

I think Anton is fake and pretentious. I use FF and MUTE buttons very often when he's on, because I heard enough. Kevin is a teenager that forgot to grow up. I don't hate him, I just think "Here we go" when he pulls out another of his his geeky/teenage choreographies. He and his sister both. The only one grown up in that family is Karen

More a case of volume rather than numbers really.

Some people feel the need to express their hatred with every other breath.

There is a lot negative talk about Kevin and Anton whenever someone gives an invitation to list their every fault (like this thread title).

I don't think it's hatred- it's just an awful lot of "don't like"- the cummulative effect of which seems to add up -like water wearing away a stone- to tremendous bad feeling, which isn't counterbalanced by an equal amount of huge praise. Artem drew a lot of criticism, but this was leavened by others who adored him. But it is interesting that Brendan- who's done his fair share of krappy choreo and bad attitude- doesn't get the same quantity of critisism, and I think it's down to people admiring "I couldn't give a sh**" to TPTB over being a people-pleaser, which rightly or wrongly many people find irksome.

Maybe a fairer question would be "Why aren't there more super-fans of Kevin & Anton?"
