Moto x Play GiffGaff Queries
Is the following compatible with GiffGaff?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorola-M...shb7pkh8Ld0H-g If not, then would Three be the best PAYG provider? |

I would not recommend buying that particular version of the Moto X Play for that reason AND it looks like it'll come from the USA which means potential problems with warranty and maybe import duty and VAT?, look for the XT1562 variant which is the UK/ Euro model. also note there are single and dual sim variations both using the XT1562 model number! I'd pay £20 more and get the UK version from Argos (also a refurb) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moto_X_Play |

So long as it's the XT-1644 variant the G4 Plus would work on Giff Gaff's band 20 LTE network.

Yes, as long as it's the European models you're looking at and not an American import like the Moto X Play you listed.
The Moto X Play I listed will work fine. 1 How did you know that the one in Argos is a refurbished model and not a new model? 2. Isn't Argos supposed to be selling new things as opposed to used/refurbished things? 3. I prefer a new model. Amazon, here I come. |

1)The link you were given was for the Argos eBay Outlet. At the start of the description it says "Manufacturer Refurbished"
2) Are you confusing the Argos Outlet with the Argos Stores and website? 3) Amazon also sells Refurbished as well as new items. Argos Outlet? I've heard of Argos Stores and argos.co.uk, but Argos Outlet? No. What about the following on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-li...mv_size_name=0 Are they refurbished or new? |

When people buy stuff then decide they don't want it and return it to a store or online if the box has been opened then they'll check it (allegedly) then sell it at a reduced cost as refurbished. Otherwise they'd have hundreds of thousands of not quite new stock cluttering up their warehouses. Can also be faulty kit sent back, repaired then resold.

Manufacturer refurbished: An item that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer-approved vendor. This means the product has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition. This item may or may not be in its original packaging.
