This time around I'm not buying their relationship, at all. I think for charity, she just had to win over Moira. I don't believe she loves Cain, but she couldn't handle him choosing Moira over her. She had to scheme, lie and manipulate to win him over,

And I am 100% sold that Cain is in love with Moira. He's not with her only because she closed the door. He's filling a space with Charity and Charity is so easy right now.

I saw some comments from both actors, and at least this time around, they don't seem to believe it either.

When will it end?

Agree, Charity is mad about Cain but Cain is only with her because Moira is not with him. Hopefully Cain and Moira get back together, and I think Charity and Frank would be good together, both as dodgy as each other.

They need to split soon. For years he was obsessed with her and she dumped him for richer men. Now the boot' s on the other foot. There's s never any balance, they' re totally destructive.

Charity's nose was well and truly put out of joint when he went to see Moira after he had been told of Holly's death. Her reaction was so typical of her - me, me, me.

I got a kick out of that. It still hasn't hit her, that Cain actually loves and LIKES Moira. They have had their issues, but he doesn't want to hurt Moira.

It didn't work last time and it won't now either.

Stop recycling this storyline. They are good for a quick shag but nothing serious.

Exactly, I thought it was great and I would have thought badly of him if he hadn't gone to Moira. I thought the scene with him and Kyle was very touching too and I loved Chas' reaction when she saw them together.

I really loved that we saw so many characters spending time with or thinking about their children. Nice touch, especially the bit with Kyle's shoelaces, which Holly had taught him to tie. That was a nice scene altogether. The ending as extremely good. I reckon t they' all have a few more ups and downs but be together by ( at?) Christmas.

Same here. After the ending on Wednesday i rolled my eyes and decided not to bother watching "live" the episodes on Thursday so I could fast forward through
Charity's triumphant smile-Charity spitting insults at Moira-Charity telling Cain she wants commitment-Cain going off her- Charity deciding to plot revenge/get him back. Zzzzz it is a tedious revolving door storyline.

Sadly I then missed watching live one of the most moving and engaging 2 episodes for a long time. Perhaps the silly comedy stuff and the Cain/Charity show was to lull us into thinking Emmerdale was on a one track route to missable status so the unexpected story and performances had even more impact.
Please though let this be an end to the Charity/Cain tedium.

I hope it ends soon. I liked Cain and Moira together. She brought a slightly softer side to him out without him losing his bad boy edge. Like another poster said it seems more like Charity just wanted to prize him off Moira rather than really had any true feelings for him

I'm hoping they will be over soon. I think Holly's death will bring Coira back together.

I remember reading an interview with Emma Atkins and she had said that then producer Stuart Blackburn said he would never revisit Cain and Chairty, that was a very smart move..if only MacLeod and Oates had stuck with that.

Hopefully the death of Hollow will see Cain and Moira get back together.

I have no idea what bright spark decided that putting Cain and Charity back together was a good idea but it certainly hasn't worked IMO The writers have spent years changing Cain and he just doesn't go with Charity anymore. He clearly still loves Moira and I suspect Charity knows that too. She will keep a hold of him for as long as she is able too because she can't stand the fact that Moira has his heart.

If TPTB didn't intend to reunite Cain and Moira then I don't think we would have had that final scene between them last night, I just hope they don't string this along until Christmas.

Cain and Moira's powerful scenes last night should seal the end of Charity and Cain.

Yes, I hope so. That final scene in the second episode showed so much in such a short amount of time. Despite Cain's attitude to Holly ultimately his instinct was to go to Moira, to try and comfort her. That scene showed more love between him and Moira than has ever been shown between him and Charity. I very rarely cry at soaps but I did in that scene.
