God knows how it won. Social experiment it certainly isn't. Hasn't been since BB1 (BB2 at a stretch).

Is that a lifetime achievement award?

BB hasn't been a social experiment since it first started. A soon as Nasty Nick lived and died by the sword it became something else.

Best ask the viewers who voted for it.It was up against scripted reality TV shows. In that sense it is still authentic.Tbf this year's BB was good.

At least it was for the normal BB. The last time BB won anything was in 2006 National TV Awards. BB beat everyone and Nikki took out the best TV contender award giving BB 2 awards that year. They haven't managed any awards since!

Nikki's expression that GBP chose her over 4 other winners of their respective shows was a picture and one of my heartfelt moments!

Vile, I'd have voted for C4 Hunted in the social experiment category.

Unfortunately the producers thought otherwise.........they closed it long before it was due to be finished!

Lucky for Nikki, it was vote to win and not vote to evict.

The NRTAs have a very dodgy provenance. They exist for the sole purpose of finding fame hungry Z listers to exploit in vanity projects. You may as well be given a little trophy from the local key-cutting shop than be awarded an NRTA.

It was probably due to the casting. Most of them had careers and were head hunted to do the show. They mixed it up with those who applied. They cant put people like that at risk otherwise they cant head hunt again. That is why they are still getting press coverage because they have agents, the days of normal BB lasting in the media this long had disappeared since Josie. It was a good show never the less.

An Award is an Award. NRTA's are voted for by the public. That is more than enough appreciation.

It was due to the ineptitude & mismanagement of the producers, they spent a fortune building another house, & within days the whole farce was revealed to the original HM's.
As for HM's being head hunted, that was done in the last BB with CH4! Steve the soldier, Dave the fake monk.
It isn't only CH5 who have done this.

What are you on about with, ''They cant put people like that at risk otherwise they cant head hunt again''. As for, ''them having media coverage, because they have agents'', it's common knowledge that most of any HM's nowadays have agents before entering the house.
In actual fact most HM's (post BB5), had agents before they went in to the house.

Tbh if anything deserved a win it was BB17. Not the other civilian series on the ghastly CBB series that just went.

At least it was for a regular series and not CBB.

I liked BB17 a lot, but come on! It was hardly a "social experiment".

From what I know of this company I wouldn't even take that bit for granted. Surely the millions of voters they boast about must include some on here? If so I'd love to hear about your experience because there sure wasn't a link to vote on here when they were supposedly being accepted.

Oh and if anyone can shed some light on their "National Television, Film & Arts Academy" then you're doing a better job than Google...

Totally agree, the first was a social experiment, the rest have been fame hungry wannabes.
