Thanks all in advance. Can't remember the rules on this over a week 1 & 2 combo opening show.

Isn`t it their highest scored dance?

Not sure if it is the rules but, logically, it should be their week 2 dance
a) because it would be unfair to ask the celebrities to recall their week 1 dances having recently learnt something else at this early stage,
b) there is no way the staging, costuming and make-up from Week 1 will be put in place for 180 minutes of dancing.

Then again, logic is not Strictly's strongest suit...

It's always been their week two dance, regardless of scores. Not sure why so many people forget this.

I guess because it's a beyoootifully daft show that takes place over three months each year and then doesn't matter until it resumes... Easy to forget all manner of crap with a year's interval

I think that's later on when they do two dances in the same evening.

They're allowed to pick which dance they do of their 2 in the semis - both Jake and Natalie picked their lower scoring dance in their series.

And it's not like consistency plays much of a part at the best of times

No, the Strictly producers are grape and goat-eating Greek Gods playing capriciously with their little world
