Dance off this week - who chooses the dances?
Thanks all in advance. Can't remember the rules on this over a week 1 & 2 combo opening show.

Not sure if it is the rules but, logically, it should be their week 2 dance
a) because it would be unfair to ask the celebrities to recall their week 1 dances having recently learnt something else at this early stage, b) there is no way the staging, costuming and make-up from Week 1 will be put in place for 180 minutes of dancing. Then again, logic is not Strictly's strongest suit... |

It's always been their week two dance, regardless of scores. Not sure why so many people forget this.

They're allowed to pick which dance they do of their 2 in the semis - both Jake and Natalie picked their lower scoring dance in their series.

I guess because it's a beyoootifully daft show that takes place over three months each year and then doesn't matter until it resumes... Easy to forget all manner of crap with a year's interval

And it's not like consistency plays much of a part at the best of times
