Emmerdale - best and most emotional episode
Just wanted to post, I am an off and on viewer of Emmerdale and was just cleaning when it started, when the music started playing at the beginning something felt a bit off, when I saw Moira go into holly's room with the foil floating I knew what had happened. .
The reason I'm posting is to praise all the actors and writers for last night, highlighting an issue that needs to be massive at the moment, (working with people with addiction) heroin is the least deadly currently compared to illegal highs, but the message is the same it only takes once, it isn't a choice, and all substance misuses are a someone's daughter, sister, friend, mum, dad, brother!! Its the families that are destroyed and that's what people battle against, this episode highlighted how big a problem this is.. The acting was superb by Natalie, Jeff and Adam.. (grief hits people on different ways there is no right or wrong) If these guys and the soap doesn't win everything going compared to the rest of the dire storylines out there... Congratulations and thanks from all those working to help people with substance issues Fyi the moment at the end where Cain was there for Moira.. Ended me 😢 |

A very powerful couple of episodes last night, made even more so due to the lack of spoilers. The acting was phenomenal across the board, really heart wrenching scenes
I think Holly's addiction storyline has been played brilliantly since it started back in the spring, such a tragic ending ![]()

I could feel the raw grief coming from Natalie, her face when she was wandering in the yard was so believeable, I cried

I haven't watched ED for weeks (first no TV, then the first ep I saw was Cain & Charity getting it on) but caught the news about the "shock death" and watched on catch up. A really, really gut-wrenching episode.
The scene when Natalie was wandering around the farm as if she didn't know what to do with herself really hit me (that's exactly how I act when I'm devastated, can't just curl up and cry, I stagger about not really knowing how to cry almost). And when Cain came to her at the end.. I was in bits. Emmerdale do stuff like this so brilliantly, and keeping it quiet in this day and age is some achievement. |

I have been on holiday and have just watched the last weeks episodes after a big catch-up today. The fact that no spoilers were released made a massive difference to my viewing, and also had a huge impact on the storyline.
Credit where credit's due, and congratulations to everyone involved in the recent episodes, as they were very powerful and emotional at times. |

The dead give away that something was off was two things for me
The announcer giving a warning that the episode would include upsetting and emotional scenes. With Belle off screen and Ashley's storyline currently on a break, i instantly ruled them out And when Moira called Holly the first time while downstairs and there was no answer. |

For me it was when it showed Holly in bed - the way the duvet was covering her it looked like she was in a body bag.

Best ep for a very long time. Having gone through the same thing all be it not drugs related but my uncle. Words can't even describe the pain you go through when it happens. When moira held holly's hand and realised then she'd gone brought back very painful memories. Well done to emmerdale for keeping it quiet even though most probably knew holly would die just didn't know when.
