My router is showing a red light. Called them and they said there's nothing wrong at there end. Phone has no dial tone even when plugged in direct. Any ideas what the cause may be?

Have you got a NTE5 type master socket with the two part front panel?

If so remove the lower section to reveal the test socket hidden behind it. Plug the phone in there and check for dial tone. if you don't get any dial tone on the test socket then pretty likely it is a line fault.

If however you do get dial tone and can make and receive calls OK but not when you put the faceplate back on then the fault could be with any extension cabling you have or possibly even the faceplate panel itself.

Similar problem for me. For almost a month I've been trying to get it sorted out, but the customer service is quite honestly the most abysmal I've ever experienced.

Do you have no dial tone whatsoever?
I know that it may be an obvious question, but do you have a spare phone that you know works to try out by plugging that into the wall socket?
That way you can eliminate the phone being the problem if that doesn't work either.

Try removing the 'phone altogether in case it's causing a fault on the line. If you have a dect 'phone try an old plug-in type. I keep one of those as a tester when my BT Infinity service glitches. It could be that your filter has failed. Connecting directly to the master socket should confirm that. If you have no dialtone using a standard non-dect 'phone then you have a line fault and will need to get BT to check it. Although they threaten to charge, if you can prove that there's a fault then that will be waived.

Another thing to try, if you can, is an alternative router.
