Calling all shredded wheat eaters, *the biscuit not bite size

do you find that the last few are always stale lost their crunch? i know they're individual wrapped but it doesn't seem to make much difference

i thought nestle quality control would be better

Can't answer your question but I'd like to say shredded wheat is one of worst cereals out there IMO. I would imagine that's what a bale of straw tastes like.

I like Shredded Wheat.

Never noticed the last ones been stale, maybe you are holding them in your larder for too long

if the last two are stale just pop them under your sink, they also make ideal brillo pads

Shredded Wheat is lovely with a smear of Strawberry jam. Adds a bit of flavour

I had shredded wheat for my breakfast today with some skimmed milk and fresh strawberries. Whilst the packet was about a year old and had been stored in a cupboard, I found no difference to the taste that I can recall.
The only thing I found was that I still felt hungry after and ended up with a piece of toast after (Then I felt full)
They was still as fresh that I could see as the first ones out of the packet, and tasted lovely with the strawberries.

Try eating the last 6 or so first.

Shredded wheat are lovely. They were my craving during one pregnancy and I was eating 6/8 a day. They did my iron levels the world of good and saved me having to have iron tablets. Not had any for ages, may have to invest in some when I go shopping.

Not so much stale as a bit less fresh, probably because we had had the packet open for 15 days. As I usually have 3 shredded wheat, my packet is only open for 10 days.

.... to an otherwise bland and nasty-textured husk.

Why do people eat this awful stuff for breakfast?

Probably because they are healthier then cereals that are full of sugar.
