Give Dot some joy writers
I really hope the writers give the character some joy in the not so distant future. Dot has had the worst of luck. Her family are pretty much gone, most of her friends. Fatboy died horribly, now the job. I understand that ageing can be very isolating, for some that's a realistic portrayal. But this is a soap, she isn't going to be around forever, Dots not the Highlander! She needs a bit of happiness before she goes. Happiness that isn't derived from servitude to others for once, bring back charlie when Ronnie goes, or fatboy back from the dead (wouldn't be the first time), a sexy vicar, whatever just something...so many of her stories are about loss...it's too sad.
Before anyone says she has abi, that just highlights how dire the situation is. That cant be her positive thing :P |

I am hoping there will be a last minute reprieve for Dot and the laundrette, I live in London and there are plenty of laundrettes still around so it isn't as though they are out of place , many have added dry cleaning as well so they could do that and it could be amusing seeing Dot getting to grips with new machines and computers etc and showing that even though elderly she is still very capable .
The laundrette is one of the places in EE that is important for the character and whatever changes the EP wants to make I think he has to be careful how far he goes to stamp his mark. |

I'm glad the serial killer lost her job.
