More the toxoplasmosis parasite.

God, I love that parasite!

(Jays, btw, and because animals and beasties have led me astray, are scientifically proven to have a theory of mind )

As do the entire crow family. Wonderful birds. Misunderstood and maligned.

They are brilliant! I swear the crows by us have treated us differently since -- earlier this year -- my dogs didn't harass a fledgling crow on the ground. They just let it flounce back into cover. Crows are supposed to be able to recognise faces of other species. Our crow flocks always used to be flighty and caw-y when we went by (what with three stalky sheepdogs) but now they sit tight and watch us instead...

So Proud!!

Naga seems a perfectly nice woman to me - really not understanding the hate for her here.

She looks like she would rather be anywhere but Strictly.

Hello Sarah

Well pre-show I would not have put Tameka and Gorka together because their personalities seem so different as to be chalk and cheese. But they seem to gel and I think that's because Tameka is loving learning the dances and working hard. I'm sure that Gorka, like any pro, is going to enjoy and appreciate someone listening and learning well from them. I'm curious to see how they fare together with standard ballroom and also the fast latins like salsa and samba. I can see them gelling well in the latter dances with the standard ballroom being a test of their partnership. What about you?

Is Dervla a lurcher? What about your others? Undoubtedly crows appreciate human niceties towards them and reciprocate. Did you come across the story of a young girl in America who took to feeding her resident crows with her mother? The flock befriended her so much that they bought her gifts and, the mother believes, returned the keys she dropped by accident to her door step. Amazing.

Humans are so intent on exploring the universe that they/we/me never explore what is with us here.

That's an amazing story. I've seen the old guys who feed the crows by us and how the crows behave... A sentinel crow will spot them walking down the hill and the air fills with a growing cloud of crows over the guys' heads, way before the bread ever appears. They're just wise old budgies.

Dervla is a lurcher, yes. She's not my dog. She appears on Casualty. (Healing paws...) My three are border collies. They do like to 'round up' birds but the crows have grown very sanguine about it now they know they're pussy cats really...

It's always the same on DS.

Some critical observations made about "someone on the telly" and one who likes them has to call it "hate!"

I love lurchers. All hounds actually. Border collies are less predictable. I know two and they are lovely especially the lady. Many years ago I met another BC female, Meg, and she was hostile and aggressive to anyone but her owner! I like the bluey-grey BCs. Very beautiful.

I like jackdaws and magpies as well as crows, jays and ravens.

To be honest I started reading this thread then suddenly I fond myself on this page, the reason being so many people have just got on the 'Let's have a go at Naga' bandwagon. I like her, I know she is known to maybe being a bit of a toughie on BBC Breakfast and maybe doesn't take fools gladly but why so much hate towards her. She is a professional who is good at her job who is known to have a 'glare' at times. Why not we all have one, even if we don't admit it. She is also still doing her day job and some weekend work as well, so maybe she was tired, bet Pasha gets tired too.
Yes I know she is being paid for it but how many of us get moody in our jobs even though the money is good. I have always said the media build people up and then knock them down, just like this, especially The Sun.
She looked stunning last night and given time she will do well. I hope she stays for a very long time.

She's still a dreadful interviewer who makes BBC Breakfast unwatchable.

I don't know about 'toughie', I'd say gobby, not very bright, not good at letting her guests speak. I don't 'hate' her as a person, I just find her unwatchable at her day job.

To be fair, I find Breakfast "unwatchable," whether she's on or not, I could never see the point of watching TV that early in the morning. I might have a glance at the red button headlines and the weather, but that's it.

Naga getting bile was so predictable for all the obvious reasons. Pathetic but oh so predictable.

I must admit I found her hard to take to but now I think she is good especially with Charlie they are like an old married couple.

I'm 46, I've been married for 17 years, no kids and have two cats. It wasn't our choice not to have kids, that's just how it worked out. However, I am often judged as selfish because we don't it makes me very angry.

Now, it may well be 'all about her' and she's giving Pasha a terrible time. Whether she has kids or not has nothing to do with that.

Sorry if this reply seems a bit harsh but comments (however light hearted) like this really get me down...

So they should... If they were about you.. but they weren't.

I've often found women without kids can be a bit self-centred. Don't take that personally. It's just a general observation.
