Anastasia injury should have given her choice

It appears its something massively impacting her movement, surely they could have given her a by, not fair to learn a totally different dance in a day!! And good for Brendan standing up for her!!

Is it fair to give her a bye though? I know people have had them when they are so injured/ill that they can't dance on the night but lots of people have had injuries/illnesses .. and haven't been given one.

Perhaps she did not ask for a bye.

No, she could basically dance, her hips were just not so mobile. THE SHOW MUST GO ON, darling

If Louise had broken her back, I wager you would have wanted her on the floor spinning.

Consistency.

You know what else she's doing it for a fab cause and to raise awareness

she will get the three votes each week until she goes out.
she can go out there and stand still for 90 seconds, matters not a jot.

Brendan jestured to shoulder and pecs which wouldn't impact hip action anyway. She did okay, it's early days, and not the same as an athlete suffering a career ending injury (Jade Jones is the only other by I can remember).

^ This
I don't know what the injury was (She was holding her abdomen when walking toward and up the stairs) but all credit goes to her to learn new choreography TODAY.

Yes, it does seem a bit unfair. I think people find her annoying but I quite like her; I gave her one vote and Ed two.

Her hips were very mobile after the dance in the Clauditorium lol!!

I agree though that some people have had really bad knocks or illnesses knocking off their feet and still danced and absolutely the show must go on !

After her dance she seemed to be holding her stomach, I wonder if she's pulled a stomach muscle.

It all sounds a bit worrying.

Even before Brendan made that gesture, It looked like the injury was to the shoulder/chest area to me. She was very stiff in that area throughout the dance, unlike her hips.

It would have been fairer all round if she was given a bye. Nevertheless, her bubbly personality and the fact that she's doing t for a wonderful cause we see her sailing through this round regardless.

Watching back again she was clearly in agony through the whole dance, I think drs should have stepped in, but she seems like a strong character, and wanted to try... ironically over the years the judges went easier on them last night, it wasn't really balanced on that she had to basically re do what she had spent a week learning in a dance, with an injury

I don't think we've been given the facts yet - probably so as not to skew the result - but it's likely, given that Anastacia is something of a perfectionist, that she wanted to give it her best shot anyway. Whether or not it was wise, and might have a knock on effect, who knows. Just look at the live show photos - she's not hiding the pain very well, it must be awful to dance through that even with the adrenaline of the show. And afterwards... eek. Will is also injured.
