What is it with him, is he suffering from piles, judging by his miserable countenance, or is it he's just being his usual pain in the arse self?

As someone who has no previous ballroom dance expertise, unlike Len, he's being over-critical.
We know he had no ballroom judging experience coming to this show, as a poster with "inside knowledge" revealed years ago, that in the early days of ITT, his comments on the technicalities of individual dancers' performances, were scripted for him by a qualified and well respected ballroom dancing judge......and they named him!

It's always been about him, he wants to be the centre of attention. I think he sees himself as being "head judge" when Len goes. That'd be a travesty.

Lighten up Craig, the act is becoming tiresome.

He often seems to have his 'favourites', his 3 awarded to Ed Balls was poor. It's an entertainment programme & Balls entertained. It's mostly an act from Craig though, pinch of salt required tbh

I accept that, but he's deliberately trying to attract attention to himself, trying to entertain as does Bruno, would not occur to him. It's all done for effect.
He comes across as a bit sinister, but only like the penguin in Wallace and Gromit.

I do have worries about him becoming "head judge" He cannot be so unkind if he gets that position.

I feel this criticism like the one on Naga is way OTT, I do not think Craig is the only one in a bad mood tonight, you are posting some very hard personal reviews yourself.

Note Three times this week, on Loose Women, in the papers and OTT Craig has made it clear, he DOES NOT want to be head judge.

I normally like Craig, and get annoyed when Len and Bruno interrupt him. But 3 for Ed Balls? Ludicrous. Unless it's a plot to ensure Ed stays in with protest votes - but I don't think Craig could be that subtle.

What business is it of yours what sort of "review" I post?

How many times do I have to say you can have any opinion you like, about anything on TV, what difference can it make to me?

I think the show overall has been great, as is my mood.

You're too wrapped up in an entertaining TV programme.

I wouldn't watch "Loose Women," if you paid me.

What Craig says and what Craig wants can be two different things.
He certainly wouldn't want to play "second fiddle," to a "newby."

On ITT he said he didn't want the head judge seat as he wouldn't be able to be so scathing.

Seriously? You put an opinion on a public forum then ask that? I got hammered last week for saying about the Cliftons taking over strictly (mainly cos i don't like them i am happy to admit) and i could not care less. It is my opinion and mine only and if people do not agree or want to criticise me for it - have at it, it won't break my heart! If you are that sensitive to anything negative i worry for you on a forum

Craig was downright rude about Ed on ITT basically called him a liar, which was a clear political link.

Tonight he was almost leering in his contempt of Ed, and whilst the other judges praised him on his progress and scored him appropriately, he scored 3!!! Wholly unacceptable and to be honest, ruins the evening watching his snide comments.

Why post then?

Surely, by starting a thread, you are expecting comments.

Read the thread. I'm not objecting to anyone having an opinion, just to those who think I shouldn't have one of my own.

I hope that resolves your "confusion."

I agree. It was ridiculous giving him a 3. I reckon he'll get an avalanche of votes now, just on that basis! His comments are not constructive at all. I donn't mind the scathing if he adds something constructive criticism, but it's all a bit Simon Cowell when it comes to his pet whipping boys!

Why don't people read threads before rushing into print?

I posted a personal opinion and got criticised for having one and.... having one on several other "telly people" at the same time!

If you think Craig is the best thing since sliced bread, post it, I don't mind, but don't have a go at me because my opinion may differ from yours.

Last week people were complaining Craig was marking too high for week one. Perhaps he's just trying to tone it down a bit.

Me too. After last week, when he was much nicer, he seemed very out of sorts tonight. I generally think he marks fairly and that the others overmark, but tonight he was very unfair to Ed, who was hugely entertaining and gave his all.

I sometimes wonder if he's asked to be particularly mean to some celebs just to rile up the audience and get them sympathy votes.

No you got criticised for the fact that you have made nasty remarks all over (according to the poster) exactly the same as you were accusing Craig of. Also they are as entitled to their opinion of what you put as you are to your opinion of Craig and whoever else, as this is an open forum, which is what i was pointing out. Do you need a hug?

I think it's all an act with Craig. "What can I do tonight to be controversial?"

Maybe he's encouraged to be that way, it's more a "Show!" Than a dance competition.
