Anastasia & Brendan for me. I'm sure she'd have been better had she not been injured though. Shame.

Melvin for me - seems a lovely guy but just can't dance bless him! Anastasia was also bad for obvious reasons but I voted Melvin by a narrow margin.

Melvin & Janette.

Awful music (not their fault) and a good dose of stiffness do not a good combination make.

Dishonorable Mention
Anastacia & Brendan - sadly awful but given a bye this week due to injury...

I find myself rooting for so many couples, but the only ones I feel turned off by are Danny and Oti.

I don't see him progressing at all and she's soooooo lucky to be back after slamming the show last year. She seems to have a poor attitude.

For me it was Naga & Pasha. The wig didn't suit her & I suspect it distracted her whilst dancing.

Naga and Pasha.

Just wasn't feeling the love or enjoying what I saw.

Compared to last week most of the couples seemed below par.

She claimed she was given a poor partner last year because she's black and they didn't want her to win. (Which is strange because I remember Anthony being one to watch, apart from the injury I guess).

She later retracted her statements and the show was initially against having her back.
Not sure what prompted her to say it or whether she's just the sort who shoots her mouth off, but a racism scandal is something Strictly can do without I think.

Was this straight after her and Anthony were eliminated? Naughty Oti. I'm black myself, but I hate it when ethnic people use the race card when the situation has nothing to do with race.

I'm glad that she took back her comments. Despite what she said, I still like her.

Thanks for the reply.

The BBC probably wanted to keep it as quiet as possible.

All I could find at this moment is this article of the Most Controversial Strictly Moments Ever, which has her direct quote:
"It's a first for Strictly, a black dancer, it's no wonder that I got partnered with Anthony and that we got voted off second week, obviously people at the BBC don't want to see a black person win"
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entr...b0e315f28205aa

I'm thinking she was probably just mad at the time, but it'll take a bit of time for me to warm up to her again. Throwing these accusations out is no joke.

Thanks.

I agree, she was probably annoyed that she was voted out so quickly.

Her comment hasn't made me like her less. Hopefully, in the future, she will think before she speaks.

Ah ok thanks!! Been searching Oti's web page since reading your post but hadn't come up with anything!!
Guess they must have brushed it off as she's been given a contender this year!!

Ooooo I didn't realise she's said that.

I really didn't warm to her last series but, it wasn't because of the quote (or her colour). Having read the article she might have been cross because being the "newbie" she was given a restricted partner and possibility that vibe transferred over to the screen. However, that is not a nice accusation to make and she is very lucky to have been given a second chance by the show (imo).
