Sunday Mirror headline about Daisy
Sunday Mirror front page states "Heartache of Strictly Daisy's Dumped Dad". The story is "The man who believed he was Strictly star Daisy Lowe’s dad has told of his “heartbreak” at not seeing her for 13 years".
Are we going to have sob stories from Daisy all through the competition? |

Crikey, not much she could do about her grandfather passing away (which I felt was handled tactfully and sentimentally last week) and now this happening.

Given that Daisy was something like 15 when all the paternity stuff happened, the story is coming from the "dumped dad" himself. I read that at the time she called it all mortifying because even her teachers knew what was going on in her life, so I doubt she's planted this one. Poor lass, she didn't ask for any of it!

Tabloids digging about in dustbins again and raking up as much crap as possible.
If ex Dad has talked to the papers then he won't be seeing/speaking to her for another 13 years I should think. |

Not that it has anything whatsoever to do with the topic of the thread...
I don't know why ... but I just can't take to this woman at all. I also can't figure out any reason whatsoever for anyone (not just Daisy) to be considered to be a "celebrity" - for wearing clothes. ![]() I mean, it requires not one scrap of talent or skill... so why? |

I don't think Daisy needs any 'sob stories' ... she is absolutely gorgeous ( those legs ! ) and is a fabulous dancer too

Well, I've read it so you lot don't have to!
![]() It is a story from her stepfather Bronner Handwerger (his mother's maiden name was Lowe). Put short, he doesn't see her, did fly her to USA for access visits when broke up with Pearl, did not discover she was Gavin's until later, claims he was cut out much earlier when he did not stump up cash to the Mum, tracked down by Daisy but after the DNA test no contact again. Pearl claimed Daisy and him were estranged as he hit her once, which he denies. Daisy has done bloody well considering all the dysfunction. |

Don't the tabloids like to dig up dirt. Unnecessary. I like to watch dancing and couldn't care less her family.

The tabloids love peering through the windows of 'The Primrose Hill Set' and getting all cardi clutching at the goings on. Nice, normal, down to earth Daisy must be such a disappointment for them.
I'm beginning to really like her |

Are we going to have sob stories from Daisy all through the competition? It seems dragged up from many years ago rather than coming from Daisy. Also her grandad dying was hardly her fault. I thought it was handled with tact, very unlike SCD to be honest. |

I can't take to her either, I find her too full of herself, she makes Danny look shy. |

Trust one of the tabloids to start digging up rubbish that happened years ago. I really like Daisy - she seems like a normal, nice person.

More like the person in question trying to get a bit of publicity on the back of Daisy's appearance, and/or paper wanting a Strictly story.
Daisy is very pretty and graceful and seems to be fairly down to earth, I found her performance last night a bit too relaxed for my liking, but she's OK. It must have been difficult for her to be focussed on Strictly the week her grandfather died, I don't think there was anything wrong in mentioning him. |

I don't know much about Daisy Lowe, just vague memories of stories from the 90's about the Primrose Hill set, and that she went out with Matt Smith and Mark Ronson, but even I know this story! Its hardly breaking news! Daisy does sound like she had quite a shit childhood and has really come through it surprisingly well, considering the shower of parents she's had!
