I actually thought she was better two years ago than she is now.

She is the only girl who has got any remote chance of winning, caitlyn would have won that's why she isn't there and another girl winner wasn't required. Caitlyn seemed more relatable to the traditional audience, Emily maybe less so

The light entertainment guitar type slowing down an upbeat song was ok the first couple of listens but I feel I have tired of it already and we aren't at the lives yet.

I get the feeling she will get the it's a bit samey , we hear it every week type line probably from Lewis by about week 5

She will be the last girl standing and come about 7th or so.

Yes can see the girls being cleared out by about midway which falls in with my they don't want a female winner theory

Agree 100%

She's capable, nice and sweet but the show is called X-Factor and I'm afraid she doesn't have that. She will play the busker role but will be a one trick pony I'm afraid

Reminds me of Louisa Johnson. Just a bit false and over yrying

I don't know about her two years ago.

What I do now is that this is a genuinely gifted wee girl with more talent in her little finger than the rest of the 'candidates' could ever hope to have in their whole lives. An accomplished guitarist, not one note out of place and her own distinctive style, whether to everyone's tastes or not- she has the whole package. Her humility and the fact she's a Scot are extra added bonuses.

I'd love to see real music winning this year. Go Emily.

(Of course she'll probably be eliminated in favour of Louis' two human flamingos pretty soon)

I like her. She's something different by X Factor standards. She has a really nice tone and her own style, and she doesn't strain her voice or belt out/shriek the usual boring old big ballads by the usual suspects. Not all voices have to be 'big' voices. Higher and louder is not necessarily better (indeed it's usually hideous).

I really like her but as I have said before the biggest threat to her is losing her originality and losing what made us all like her in the first place by Cowell transforming her into another dull whitney singing X factor BOT. Nothing wrong with her guitar either.

As long as she sticks the knife in Simon...I won't be able to cope with anymore of his cosying up to it.

I dunno. Pretty, singing, guitar playing girls are ten a penny these days. Will get boring after a while.

Are they? I can't think of any. They definitely aren't ten a penny in X Factor terms.

I like her but I think she'll begin to annoy me as the weeks go on.

I like Emily a lot, I think she has a gorgeous voice and it never seems like she's trying too hard.

I have a feeling she'll begin to grate on the public though and will be out around the halfway mark.

I'm not normally that keen on the quirky girls, acts like Abi Alton did nothing for me but I actually really like Emily. Although she has that acoustic folksy vibe, she has a stronger voice than quirky girls tend to as they often have very limited ranges.

I can see her possibly making the final - of all the girls she seems the most likely as Gifty strikes me as an early boot and Samantha is very shouty and not overly likeable

I love her!

I actually really enjoy listening to her sing. No doubt she's not a shouter or a ballad diva but I think she's got the whole package and has a fantastic recording voice.

On top of that she's extremely likeable, genuine and modest which is rare to find in the girls category.

She was my favorite 2 years ago and I like her even more this year. She's incredibly talented and that can't be said for many other acts this year.

Go Emily !!!

Caitlyn was robbed.
Emily will not take to differing genres and she is like a lot of girl busker types that are evreywhere.

Yeah same here, did nothing for me at all. Not only was her face hidden behind a stupidly oversized microphone blocking any visible emotion, a static performance chained to a mike stand and guitar is dull as dishwater. I'm none the wiser as to whether she can perform, dance or cut some moves.

I don't think she's really that pretty.

Emily is not the kind of artist that will be doing any type of dancing tbh. She stands and sings with her guitar, and that is that. Its all about The Voice in her case.

Emily was far better overall than Caitlin. Hence why she's in the lives and Caitlin is not. X factor isn't all about who can shout the loudest.

She was fab 2 years ago when she was dancing and singing to that Ellie Goulding song. Hopefully they get her to do a bit more upbeat stuff.
