ITT was recorded yesterday so maybe Ed & Katya's dance has been changed to the Jive as the Strictly website says?

How was it recorded yesterday when it's live on the night

It isn't. The Tuesday show is pre-recorded 'as live' directly after the Monday show, and I believe the Thursday show is done straight after the Wednesday show.

Check Katya's twitter, she put up a photo of her and Ed yesterday in the exact same outfit and makeup from ITT.

Tuesday's is recorded on Monday that's true, the announcement of " from London" tonight, rather than " live from London" is the giveaway. Thursdays however is live as well. So it's just Tuesdays recorded, and a four day week.

The post with the songs on the strictly FB page has been taken down... Strange.

Edit to add - the website now says Ed is dancing a Samba to Cuban Pete from The Mask.

I'd have though spoonful of sugar was more of quickstep song anyway.

Because it isn't in ballroom hold.

It seems tptb no longer class American Smooth, Argentine Tango, Charleston or Salsa as Ballroom or Latin dances anymore (they never traditionally were anyway).

It looks as though we have the traditional ballroom, traditional Latin and 'other' dances and whilst we barely ever see two Ballroom and two Latin dances in a row we can get one Latin and one 'Latiny' other in a row.

Ed & Katya are dancing the Samba to 'Cuban Pete' (from The Mask)

Charleston is an American ballroom dance. So, I would think it would be classed as ballroom on SCD. Paso is latin.

Fair enough- good to know once and for all.

Thank you- I had a dim recollection that there was a question mark over the Charleston. Just couldn't recall which way round.

Although most Strictly Charleston's end up looking very similar to Lindy Hops .

Spoonful of Sugar always struck me as a good Polka tune.

I'm guessing maybe this was a dance prepared for Melvin that was then given to Ed so he could drop doing the Jive.

For the purposes of Strictly, I'm pretty sure Charleston is classified as Latin, since most of it is out of any sort of hold. Salsa is also Latin, whilst American Smooth and Argentine Tango are classified as Ballroom. Then you have your "ten" dances.

The Charleston is classified as latin, for Strictly if nowhere else.

I tend to agree.

Think Laura has the best with Danny, Anastacia, Claudia, Ore & Daisy following closely behind

Don't understand Rinder's, Lesley's, Tameka's and Will's choices in relation to what they are dancing tho...

Would LOVE to see a pro Salsa to Laura's music...

ETA: Ed dancing to 'Cuban Pete' - I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!

Oh- and where possible, give a percentage sureness rating. People who turn out to be right often become mysteriously more sure of their prediction after the event.”

Happy to oblige!

Danny & Oti's Paso to those songs will be EPIC - 100% certain on that! Top of the leaderboard material if ever there was.

Claudia & AJ have a great Charleston tune that will see her rising up the ranks - 60%

Laura has fantastic Salsa music (the best song for me) this week but not sure if she will do it the credit it deserves - 30%

I couldn't agree more. Jo is a ballroom champion and this is a truly classic song to dance to.

With those ingredients combined, I think they will pull it out of the bag this week and be Top 3 at least.

Lesley doing a QS to "A Couple of Swells" doesn't seem right to me either.

Expecting an announcement....
