Lesley doing a QS to "A Couple of Swells" doesn't seem right to me either.
Expecting an announcement....

Agree. It's very slow for a QS

Happy to oblige! Danny & Oti's Paso to those songs will be EPIC - 100% certain on that! Top of the leaderboard material if ever there was. Claudia & AJ have a great Charleston tune that will see her rising up the ranks - 60% Laura has fantastic Salsa music (the best song for me) this week but not sure if she will do it the credit it deserves - 30% ![]() Although I suspect predicting Danny will finish top is less to do with choice of music and more to do with the fact he's a proven excellent dancer and top of the week 2 leader board. Much as last year. |

In the film, didn't they do more of a samba to it than a salsa?

Just looked at Claudia's training, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets 9's or even 10's!

I tnink Claudia could well top the leader board that Charleston looks great - Dan looks good but he will have to work on those spins far too stagey and not latin enough

I'm looking forward to Flintstone Rinder, flapper Cloudia, policeman Gorka getting Tameka in line and the sambaing 'Mask' Ed. Everyone else will be scenery.

I hope with Ed's dance this weekend we don't get a repeat of Dave Myers and Karen Clifton's performance to the same song a couple of years ago.

Me too! Tbf D&K were dancing salsa and Dave lacks the timing of Ed, who will be doing a samba with Katya.

Claudia, Daisy, Lesley & Ore have the best music this for me week
.I just don’t hear or feel the connection between these songs & dances IMO: Greg – I don’t know which type of American Smooth fits to Everything I Do (I Do It For You) .Naga - The theme from Mission:Impossible is in 5/4 time signature, so I can’t hear how a Tango will fit to this .Rob – I can’t hear how a Charleston fits to the theme from The Flintstones .Tameka – Again I can’t hear how a tango will fit to The Heat Is On .It just sounds to me like whoever chose the music this week picked (for some dances) songs from films & then just shoe-horned any random dance into them, & didn’t care if they fitted each other or not. |

I don't think "A Couple Of Swell" is a disaster for a Quickstep; it'll need to be sped up a bit, but I can see a nice, smooth-and-genial rather than fast-and-frantic routine in there somewhere, which to be fair fits the general air of the song nicely.

![]() Older generations, or those who like classic musicals will know the original, as a comedy routine with Fred Astaire and Judy Garland from "Easter Parade." As they say "Follow That!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xxfm5-zRHo |

Hello all,
Just popping by to add that I wish Ed and Judge Rinder's dances could have been swopped (had Ed not done the Charleston last week!) Rinder would have been the most perfect Cuban Pete, he would have done a great version I think - which we will now never see . He's got the bendy body for it, and his facial expressions would have been perfect for it ! He could have done it very like Jim Carrey (different choreo). The producers missed a trick there- sometimes the decisions from 'on high' don't make much sense! I also don't get how a Charleston will fit with the Flintstones music - like somebody here said. Guess they are doing Flintsones as the Judge mentioned F.Flintsone in training last week?!Likewise Ed would have made a perfect Fred Flintstone - he's got the phsyique for it - all they needed to do was stick him in a dark wig, and there they'd have it! Opportunity lost folks!! Anyway I'm just imagining and wishing they could have swooped! It will be as it is!

Hmmmmm...with the way Claudia's Charleston seems hyped , I hope that they deliver Saturday. Too many times dances that could have been incredible turned out to be pants on the night. ...mostly because of mistakes. Guess we'll see.
