What's up with X factor . I thought Simon was serious about getting it right this year. Could someone explain why so many bad acts are being put through and the best acts are sent home. In a funny way,it's like a reversal of last year. Last year had very technically good singers put through who were almost perfect but the show didn't so well which wasn't the singers fault. Most people turned off because they were tired of all the manipulations on the x factor and some didn't like the new judges last year too. Nothing to do with the singers as they were amazing. This year however, the best singers are sent home. We now have one of the weakest x factor series ever in terms of the quality of singers. I wonder if the producers/Simon thought having technically good singers put through last year was boring and so wanted to spice things up by putting through the worst singers this year. Well I think if this is what the producers think, they are deluded. Awful singers make me so annoyed and do not amuse me in the slightest. What does everyone else think. This is so crazy. Has xfactor gone totally crazy!!

I was kind of hoping they would get their act together but sadly not!

I was really looking forward to this series, and up until this weekend I was thoroughly enjoying the programmes. But this weekend shows it's still the same old same old. I sincerely hope that ITV don't mess around with The Voice like they have TXF.

He's going to have to other it will be a disaster. He will then pretend it was planned all the time.

I've watched every season so far but I think I'm actually done now.

The crap acts are really just there to make up the numbers. Simon knows they haven't got a chance of winning but sees them as fodder for the live tour.

So expect the likes of Honey G and D&D to survive multiple weeks. I reckon if one of these were to go out in week 1, Simon would still have them on the live tour at the possible expense of someone who got further, but Simon has no interest in.

Does anyone know what happened to the really good singer in Sharon's team. At the 6 chair challenge, she sang the Whitney Houston song and got a standing ovation. She was from the Philippines and got a chair and next I knew she is not at the judges house but instead we have Honey G

She got the Gamu treatment (also known as "visa issues").

I did wonder as I thought she was one of the best or the best of Sharon's group!

"visa issues" also known as "pulled out of the competition and fed a load of bollards to the media to lap up".

It says a lot that Gamu made such a name for herself during her time on X Factor and had never returned to try again like so many others have.

Gamu is remembered more than most singers who made the live shows. That's some achievement.

This year stands out though as having too many crap acts put through more than just the token joke act put through in previous years!

Lily. She does not have British nationality and therefore needed a visa to go to LA which she either got denied for some reason or did not get in time from the US embassy. You would think that the production assistants would have sorted this out months ago.

Cowell has just signed a contract for three more years of XF.

During that time, they'll expect audience figures to slowly decrease and then they'll scrap it in 2020. It might self destruct, but it'll be on our screens for another three years at least.

It's there plan they put the joke acts into the lives to make us all talk and to feed to the press ,bet there will be lots of talk on this morning etc about who went in ,the show hasn't been about talent for years ,every judge knows little about today's music industry, there just Simons puppets earning millions for acting out this farce ,it reminds me of Willie wonka simons controls everything ,why have guest judges when he tells them who to put into the lives

Another 3 years of a tired old format that should have been allowed to disappear about 3 years ago.

Make no mistake, this show has always been about making money first and foremost and a real talent show second. But, in the first few years it was different and appreared to be genuinely voter driven, the first series was a great and fresh experience for viewers.

What we have now is a pale shadow of what went before, we have young singers manipulated by an older man and his older panelists in a show that should be aimed at young folk who aren't as interested in Saturday night TV.

Over the last three years I've watched bits of it and this years offering has proved to me that it's not about the singers but about the panelists and the fact that the whole thing is scripted from start to finish. Indeed the final three were probably chosen way back on day one. I imagine it will continue until the ratings warrant that there's no money to be made from it because if it's still turning even a small profit I can't think they will stop it.

In truth the X factor has run out of ideas, everyone knows the format, and everyone knows how the show works,

Cowells even tried to take the X Factor back to when it was doing okay, and it hasn't worked as yet.

The big thing is that the public have seen so many of these shows, it gets boring, and predictable.

I would be inclined to rest the show for a season, and bring it back see if anything better can be done.

It was always going to be trouble once Louis and Sharon were back.

So was she allowed to stay in the UK? If so, why didn't they just do her song via satellite from the UK to Los Angeles or something?

It's out of date. That was about the 6 chair challenge. The idiotprat that is Honey G was brought back again to fill the gap left by the amazingly talented Phillipino lady, Lily, who didn't get to LA because of 'visa issues'.
