He doesn't half get some difficult partners.

Fiona Phillips - three left feet
Michele Williams - god knows what she was on
Lulu - the Queen of divas
Jo Wood - lovely but NEEDY, oh my god
Princess Victoria - nuff said

And now he's embroiled in this mess.

I think they use him as a safe pair of hands who can cope but he is such a marvellous dancer and choreographer and its such a waste

That's because he has been on so long. He also had Sophie EB, Kelly and Lisa Snowdon so not all bad news.

You are quite right. He has matured from bad boy to elder statesman. Its just that we never get to see what he can really do anymore.

Sophie was not that long ago 2013 and I think he would probably say she was his favourite partner.

Yes, I go to his live show every year and he has said it. They seemed to have had a ball

I think it was losing him, not anatacia, that made the Beeb make this decision. And he won it once didn't he!

I admire Anastacia's tenacity and fighting spirt but she shouldn't be absolved from facing the consequences of acting against her doctor's advice just because she doesn't see herself as a quitter.

If she hangs on for several weeks I suspect Lulu will seem like a walk in the park

That made me laugh, Holly Berry! As I said, poor Brendan

You could say that about a lot of the Strictly dancers - personally I think it says more about Brendan than it does about his partners. Remember that actress from Casualty - he scared her so much she almost quit. I don't think he suffers fools gladly and I think he may be quite difficult to work with.

He's not a favourite of mine most of the time , but right now he's between a rock and a hard place .
How on earth is he meant to train with someone who has already once simply refused to dance for fear of aggravating surgery scars ? Even the simple act of grabbing her under her arms (even to prevent her falling) will be a worry to him .
Lifts will be a no no .
Energetic hand grabbing and jerking of arms , as in jive , will not be do-able .
Charleston tumbles .Def not .
Floor slides ? Hell no .
Raised arms ? Nope .

Where does he go from here ? She can't wander around wafting her arms very very gently at waist height while he dodges back and forth doing dancer things .
It's truly bizarre in a competition to be so restricted in virtually every basic movement .
So yeah , I do feel for him .

Think Brendan was partnerned with Sarah Manners from Casualty. I remember her having a few things to say about him.

One thing I found strange watching the recap of their dance tonight, was that they did that move where he held her hands and she slid through his legs. Her arms were raised totally above her head and presumably pulled, which would seem the worst sort of move you could do with that injury

Poor Brendan? He got Anastacia for goodness sake and was totally delighted about it. They seem to have pretty good chemistry.

According to the mirror (I know!), she had a meltdown backstage and filming was halted then: ' When Anastacia eventually returned to the dance floor with her professional dance partner Brendan Cole, he looked visibly upset.

One audience member said: "Brendan looked really annoyed and the body language between him and Anastacia was very frosty.

"A female producer went up to talk to him but he wouldn't even talk."

Well, that or the hokey kokey.
Joking aside, if she feels she is injured or in danger of injury then there are no viable dances she can undertake .
I bet this has messed up carefully constructed rotas regarding who will dance what dance in which week .
What a mess .

Poor bloke knows he's in deep doo-doo if Anastacia diagnoses herself fit to train this week .
His brain must be in overload trying to figure out what in hell to do with her .
Now if it were Anton he'd be happy to flit around her doing all the donkey work while she poses or wafts her hands around gracefully -----lord knows he's had to do that a lot with some of his partners. But Brendan isn't so relaxed about pussy footing around his partner . He expects energy and working in tandem .Good luck with that me old china .

I'm pretty certain she will drop out, if it is really that bad. The doctors may also advise it.

Well The Sun said the opposite to The Mirror and if you trust either you have issues

Brendan seems to like her very much and gets very emotional. Maybe he was blaming himself for injuring her? Who knows but I don't see why there has to be a total character assassination either way.

I like Brendan a lot and have almost always rooted for him.

The doctors already did advise it Christopher . She says so herself .
She went against the advice and this mess is the result .

Why didn't she just do BB where there is no risk of injury ? I'm sure they pay better than Strictly too .
