This is the reason why I respect this lady so much.

Yes, I saw that. Lovely tweet. Janette does seem to be generous and good hearted.

On a personal level she seems a genuinely lovely person. Great reaction 👍

Well, isn't it nice to see that someone who has greater cause to feel disappointed or aggrieved than your average DS forum member does, is still able to be generous, kind and supportive.

Oh, P-lease! Put some honey on it. In reality, Janette will have been furious - as anyone would be. Well done her for turning it to her advantage.

Well, maybe some people just aren't as cynical as you.

Either way, it's scarcely for you to decide for Janette what her thoughts or emotions are or were. She did not have to "tweet" anything. If she was so bothered by the outcome, she could have said nothing at all.

I know it's difficult to believe, but some people are actually just ...nice

Tweeting: The forum for showing everybody how nice you are. Why do you need to Tweet it, why not send a note or give her a call OR (a novel idea) as you're standing next to her, TELL HER!

But of course if you tweet, you give a public demonstration. Yuk.

She probably is a lovely lady but is it really that easy in the Twitter world to show you are a 'lovely lady?' You just punch in a few characters on your phone and, hey presto, you are a lovely lady.

Thank god I have never used this ugly medium.

To let people know Anastacia has her support and they shouldn't be speculating that she hates her or bears a grudge?

I have no idea. I do not, never have and never will use Twitter.

However, according to what I understand it's what people in showbusiness do.

Some people apparently use it to brawl "in public" in an undignified manner with people with whom they have some trivial grievance. Some people I believe just use it to send their thoughts, wishes or congratulations.

Neither is particularly my own style but apparently both are considered to be equally acceptable.

It's really not much different to using a forum. Except you have to control your verbosity.

Don't worry, there is no danger of anyone mistaking you for a lovely lady. Most of your comments this evening have been utterly poisonous.

Well, that's the competition for the most charmless, mean spirited post of the Series sewn up!

penelopesimpson, you and I are on the same side regarding the way things went down on Strictly tonight, but attacking everyone will not make one wrong right.

Assuming that Janette fell bad for the way everything was handled in the result's show, these dancers and pros spend many hours together and many become friends for life. Wishing Anastacia a speedy recovery seems to be a very expected response from Janette, who I believe along with Natalie is one of the nicest people on this show.

Well done, Janette. A thoroughly compassionate and dignified gesture.
