She probably is a lovely lady but is it really that easy in the Twitter world to show you are a 'lovely lady?' You just punch in a few characters on your phone and, hey presto, you are a lovely lady.

Thank god I have never used this ugly medium.
Please give it try, you certainly have showed the type of person you are tonight on this forum and it is not a 'lovely lady' quite the opposite

Just ask this silly question, she must have known or at least thought about the posiibility of
Injury to her scars, or even to anyother part of her body.. Then why enter SCD she is not short of cash, Is she..

It's really not much different to using a forum. Except you have to control your verbosity.
No chance of that

Her fee for appearing is being donated to a Breast Cancer Charity... so no - she isn't.

Janette is adorable and very classy and I wish they'd give her a real contender .
There isn't anything she could do about the result so she might as well be gracious in a very dodgy 'defeat' . That's just her sweet nature .
Having said that I can 100% believe that she is fuming inside and very hurt for Melvin .
We've all had to suck up disappointment and plaster on a smile on occasion and Janette is no different .Fair play to her for keeping her dignity .

Good on her. We've lost the classier couple by far tonight.👏

100% agreed, Janette is a sweet heart and Melvin comes across as a very good person. I also think that Natalie and Greg are a close second

A wonderfully sweet & very dignified response to a very unfortunate and unjust end to her Strictly 2016!!
Well done, lovely lady!!

Oh, P-lease! Put some honey on it. In reality, Janette will have been furious - as anyone would be. Well done her for turning it to her advantage.
I highly doubt that. I personally find Janette really annoying because of the way she messes about in the Clauditorium, but she does come across as nice and gracious.

Given the vile bile you've been pouring out here tonight I imagine that thought is shared by every Twitter user in the world! Any chance you could make a similar decision about the social media you don't appear to be embarrassed about using (though God knows you should!)

You seriously think she entered the show without having had a full medical examination and consulted her doctors? If the risk of injury was to be taken into account in the way you suggest nobody would do the show ever. Tamar Braxton literally got out of a hospital bed to do a dance on DWTS aty not inconsiderable risk to her life as it turned out, (no doubt the reason that the rules do not any longer stipulate immediate elimination if you are unable to perform in the Strictly Dance Off). Nobody pilloried her for that in the States. Seems we have a far baser kind of 'fan' in Britain!

You ought to though, by the sounds of it it's right up your street.

Why? She's not daft. She must have known that Melvin stood no chance in the dance off regardless. He simply wasn't good enough.

Melvin lost in terms of both the judges' score AND the public vote. I don't see that he had any right to stay in those circumstances.

If Janette hadn't tweeted, everyone would have been assuming she was livid. I think she has tried to avoid that. I also think she must be lovely - she has dated a number of the dance guys and is engaged to the adorable Alliazj. She must have a loveable bubbly personality that attracts those around her and be pretty genuine too.

Nothing Janette has ever said or done has made me think she is anything other than a lovely person.

I'm not commenting on the decision made on Saturday because it's been gone over and over and over - all I would say is that I hope very much Anastacia recovers soon and plaudits to Melvin for being an absolute gent.

I do agree, however, that it's very easy to tap out a tweet in 20 seconds and then be told you're the most wonderful human being to ever walk this planet. Janette is hardly likely to tweet "cheers then, chuffed to bits to be out of the competition without a chance to dance off #HackedOff". I follow the majority of the dancers on Twitter and Instagram and am not naive enough to think we can turn our back on social media but I do think it's bonkers to really seriously believe we "know" people on the basis of what they choose to put out there on their accounts.

Totally agree , but my cynical little heart softened a smidge and wondered if Janette had seen the ... less sympathetic of the reaction and did something to try and calm things down.

The tweet just seems in keeping with the normal seems-to-get-on-well-with-everybody Janette.

From what I've seen of Janette, I am sure you are right. It's just the principle of taking everyone and everything on social media as an absolute and true reflection of the person tweeting which irks a bit sometimes! (Or even what they DON'T post in some cases )

You're right, of course, but I do think you can build up a picture of someone over time - not just based on tweets - and, as you say, Janette doesn't appear to have said or done anything which would suggest she's anything other than a lovely person.

I guess I would just prefer to assume the better side of people until they give me a reason to think differently, rather than start from the cynical POV of, 'Well, she would say that, wouldn't she?! 😏 '. Occasionally when someone says something nice, they actually mean it

(Not directing that at you, btw, just speaking in general )

Oh I totally agree and I didn't mean to sound a completely hard hearted cynic!

I want to send @AnastaciaMusic all the positive vibes for a speedy recovery. Nothing but love for you & @BrendanCole ❤️

This is the reason why I respect this lady so much.
Yes, it's a pity that some on the internet (including some on DS I'm sad to say) who are mere observers without any inside knowledge cannot show the same dignity and grace.
