I hope the BBC feel they have some making up to do and offer him something. He is certainly more famous now than he was 24hrs ago. And he seems a real sweetie

If he's more famous, they don't need to offer him anything.
His profile has been raised more than if he just lost in the dance off and became just another first boot

Apparently he should now hit up BBC for some gravy train.

He's already working for ITV. Don't think it would go down too well in the current environment!

Oh you don't stop do you? Another anti Anastacia thread disguised as a Melvin one. Don't tell me it isn't. You really are hateful aren't you?

Anastacia hasn't been mentioned as far as I can see. This is just a thread about Melvin.

For what it's worth, I do think being booted off the show without a dance-off (and being a gent about it) has probably made more people aware of him, which is a good thing.

I don't think that will happen, but I do feel he is more liked by the public, now. I was neutral before and now after the way he handled the elimination, he has gone up in my estimation. Seems a nice guy.

A) a Kinder Egg?
B) a whoopee cushion?
C) the head of John the Baptist?
D) all of the above?
E) none of the above?

It's a thread about Melvin . Not everything is about Anastacia .
Calling other members "hateful" breaches the forum rules by the way .

Anyway, Melvin . I doubt the BBC will be bothered in the least to be honest .
But you never know , he might have been promised a future offer of employment if he accepted his ridiculously unfair ejection with good grace and didn't make waves .

I agree totally, I just find OP's suggestion that there needs to be a compensation for it, offensive. Being nice to people does not cost you anything and it should not cost anything anybody else either. Making other people feel good should be the only reward. Probably a foreign concept for some in this reality TV world

BIB - Says more about you, than OP.

I don't think it does actually! OP is obsessed with the Dance-Off upset and has posted more than one thread on the very same topic. However the title thread is couched, it essentially all boils down to the same thing.

Give it a rest OP - we know your views on the subject!

New topic PLEASE!

Ooh, good point! I had no idea, having never heard of him before. Love his name and his attitude and I hope the BBC remember him for the future.

Just watched him on ITT saying tara.

Must admit he is a bit of a hard swallow but appears to be taking the 'incident' in his stride in a way that can only work well for him,

Perhaps they could offer him some sort of monetary remuneration for participating, a kind of 'fee' maybe?

My understanding was that all celebrities get the full fee, regardless of whether they go out in Week 1 or are in the final weeks. I gather the final three get a bonus amount.

Because he was so gracious in defeat that even if 'Kiss' radio lasts a thousand years, people will still say............

All contestants get the same fee to start with which covers them up until the end of October, if they are still in the competition at that date they get a further remuneration with further payments at the quarter-final stage and the semi-final stage - so the longer you stay in, the more you earn!

I'm confident he hasn't been offered any bribe to behave well. I'm sure he simply has much more generosity of spirit and a more considered and compassionate view of some very unfortunate circumstances than some of the posters on here!

I'd never heard of Melvin before Strictly, and to be honest, still haven't a clue what it is he does. But he certainly came across as a really nice guy.

Whether the situation at the weekend was fair or not, Melvin will still have been nicely paid for his appearance. so while perhaps disappointed, no one - least of all the BBC - owes him anything.
