It is being reported on the Prisoner Cell Block H Facebook page that Amanda Muggleton - best known as Christie Latham in Prisoner has started filming on Hollyoaks today. I would assume this is just a guest stint but still fantastic news for fans of hers

Oh I hope not. She's not old enough to be playing Nana. My initial thought was something to do with Linda Gray's character as that would make sense but I really don't know. I wonder when we'll get the official announcement

Well, according to a comment on the page by the fan site owner, it says that "it's a small part playing a doctor..."
Thankfully not a Nana recast
I didn't think she worked in the UK. I thought she was based fully in Oz. Chrissie Latham was so much like Angie Watts. I used to pretend they were long lost sisters.

I haven't watched since about 2002/2003 but will definitely want to watch Amanda's scenes. Seems to be a bit of a pattern forming with them casting stars of old soaps.
Kirkwood is a Prisoner fan and asked her personally to do a days filming while she's in the UK, purely to satisfy his own geek boy fantasies I think! Wouldn't surprise me if there's a few subtle Prisoner references only fans would get in her dialogue.
