The cameras do require the everyone to stay approximately where they are supposed to. Maybe she desperate to keep them from messing up the camera shot. That or stop them wandering off to embarrass themselves.

I don't think she ever looks at ease in the job, unlike Claudia.
Her off-the-cuff remarks seem rather awkward at times and her touchy feely antics, may be a symptom of her nervousness. She's fine with the auto-cue, I've always said she's often dug the show out of a hole when the old codger had wasted time, by being able to "speed-read and speak." But she's not very good at "winging it."
