I'm still sticking with it, but that did grate too when the daughter wouldn't speak to her mother over the radio after all the fuss she'd made telling her dad to do it. I think the mother's still in danger, so far, and so that would still be her first priority. I'm also not feeling the friendlier atmosphere they all had in the film. What's the deal with her supposed best friend? He's also coming across as being a bit of a weirdo at the moment.

Really enjoyed the first episode but I found the second to be rather confusing with all of the time jumping going on. If I am going to stick with this then it's going to take some concentration. Not something to watch with your brain turned off.

Maybe, if she ever gets too buggy, Dad tell her to look at the bottom of her feet (her sole, right ?!) where she discovers a new tattoo saying "stop being a whiney bitch" [sic] (his spelling sucked) - him having just popped over to his sleeping girls bedroom with a portable tattoo machine. - though it might be simpler to just burn something else on the machine

Couldn't spot the original burn on the top of the radio in the latest episode.

So does the Radio magically repair itself, did the Prop department mess up or was I just looking in the wrong place?

Netflix has the UK rights, the first two episodes are available.

Enjoyed the first two episodes, hope they continue as good.

Agree that ep 2 was a little more involved than 1, but had no problem following it.

I enjoyed ep 2 as well. I think it's a good series and will certainly keep watching. I've never seen the original film that this is based on and maybe that is a good thing. I'd rather watch story unfold as a stand alone series than spend time comparing it with the film.

I really believe that, given how time changes, she was scared that it would do more damage than good by speaking to her over the radio.

Liked Ep1 but 2 was a bit forced. As for why nobody tries to correct other wrongs in time you can see the problems it causes on saving one life. What problems would it cause if you tried to save thousands? As the Doctor might say. "Fixed point in time, So Sorry".

Never seen the film but watched the first 2 episodes on Netflix and really enjoyed it, will look forward to see where this goes.

ep1 was wow, ep2 was huh?! now ep3 is fooey and I'm done.

When he left his daughter, I gave up on the show. Don't care about any of them, ain't excited about any of the cast and couldn't give a hoot where the story is headed.

Oh well.

Thanks for the warning. I tried watching my copy but the sound was poor.

Not looking forward to watching it now.

I can't see it lasting anyway.

Such a shame as the idea could have made a great series.

As you say, non of the characters are likeable.

I'm really liking it so far, but then I do likeanything that involves the butterfly effect and time travel.

Well, 3rd one down and still enjoying it.

I did find one thing odd, put in a spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet.

Spoiler
Why was she still injured after the killer died? We saw previously, if things are changed in the timeline the effects ripple down, so he couldn't have injured her as he was already dead..

For all that am still liking the characters and think the performances are pretty good and better than Timeless.

I feel both shows have ran out of steam already, which is a shame.

You could just as well ask why was she standing there pointing a gun at thin air.
Spoiler
With the perp (not actually a killer as far as we know) dead for 20 years why had she been tracking him down?

And the answer in both cases would seem to be that she's immune to the time changes.

She remembers the original timeline as well as any new ones they create and it seems any actions she takes (or actions done against her) still happen even if the reason they happened no longer exists.

I'm enjoying the show but really have to try not to think about the ridiculous situation of having to wait to see something happen in the past for it to affect the present.

Other than that, a decent show.

I've really bought into this show. I find it very enjoyable and I'm certainly going to keep watching. For me, it's got that tantalising feel of some good twist coming in the story that will be a real surprise - good or bad I don't know which.

One big massive flaw in the show is, WHERE THE HELL IS FRANK IN 2016??

His life was saved in 1996 but not one mention of him in the new timeline?

You mean if the dad said, tomorrow he was going to canvass the neighbourhood to find everyone named Bill, then carve that number on a tree for his daughter to find in 2017, couldn't the daughter just go the tree today, find the number and tell him ?! <- is this what is bugging you ?

If so then (imho) that's not how tv time travel works.

Have you seen the film Looper ? Well that bit where a guy is slowly being chopped up and in the future we see him slowly losing his bits. Viewers were going WTF, he's now got no feet so how could he have even walked to that place with no feet all these years. If you can accept that the film got it right, that this is how time travel works, how doing something to something in the past will affect that thing in the future. If you take it as right then I feel this show will make sense.

(or at least I think it will, I gave up on it last week cos I didn't care about any of them )

I have worked it out, the dad Frank is the nightingale killer!

There were no killings in the present day until Frank was saved by his daughter in 1996, when he died originally the nightingales stopped. They only resumed when history was changed and a new timeline came.

Frank is the killer and his daughter will work it out and go after him.

1. Frank has been dead for a number of years (7 I think) in the present day so why are the Killings still going on?

2. If Frank is the killer Why was Frank going after the guy in the truck in the latest episode and why was said truck then destroyed by it's owner?

Frank being alive obviously did change something that caused the Nightingale to carry on killing but for it to actually be Frank we'd have to ignore too much evidence or say that he faked his death in the car crash.

In the original film
Spoiler
the Nightingale carries on in the altered timeline because his life is saved by Frank's wife who is on duty in the hospital. In the original timeline he dies in the hospital because Frank's wife has left after getting news that Frank has been killed.

It remains to be seen if they go with that in the TV show or change it somewhat.
