Do Gallifreyans smell the same as humans?

Just something I wondered...I know that a few aliens with a very advanced sense of smell have been able to distinguish the Doctor as being "different", but would another human be able to distinguish a Timelord from a human purely by smelling them?

Any thoughts?

At the point of seeing this thread title, I realised that the lack of news or episodes sending the forum a little stir crazy just reached a whole new level

Since were at that point though, to the question posed, I don't think humans would notice a change in smell because we don't have a particularly heightened sense of smell in comparison to advanced beings or even animals on this planet for that matter.

Whether a timelord could tell the difference is another question, but they only seem to have ever mentioned being able to tell by eyes or sensing other timelords around, so the idea of a unique timelord smell that differs from humans is neither a proven or disproven thing to my knowledge, unless they mention it in a future episode.

The Family of Blood could smell the difference between Timelords and humans.

The Doctor could mask his scent though so they thought he was human.

The Op's question acknowledged that some other intelligent races could tell by smell, but asked whether humans and timelords could tell the difference between each other through smell.

I think the question should be "Do Timelords have the same odour as humans".

It's that whole "I smell, you stink" thing.

I think if the Doctor is concerned about being found out by humans smell-wise, he splashes Brut all over/has a squirt of Lynx/Talcum Powder's it up, etc depending upon what decade he is in. Less painful than the Chameleon Arch.

eta probably Hai Karate in the 3rd Doctor's era.

Time Lords are far superior to Humans in basically every way biological wise, they should have heightened smell.

I thought it was established in The End of Time that the Doctor could smell the Master.
