I think Bernard is Arnold, or a copy of him or something. We know that Ford lies (we see Bernard choking/killing Elsie). If Ford lies to Bernard (even when he can erase his memory) then there's no reason for Ford not to tell Bernard that he is/was Arnold. He told Bernard that he's never harmed anyone else, and we know that's not true.
It seems there are (at least) three timelines in play here, and William is definitely the MIB; it's his reference to his wife that has sold it for me (because we know that William is due to be married). It's also William that meets the greeter pre-park; and it's the MIB that recognises her. If the MIB isn't William, then all of this is too much of a coincidence.
