Bookies Favourite - VERY confusing.

So I've had a look on oddschecker which takes all the bookies sites and puts them together and something just doesn't quite add up to me...

judge Rinder is THIRD favourite to win?! What the hell?! Sure he's a decent dancer but he's not amazing and he's a complete marmite character. He's a head of Will, Daisy, Laura, Claudia and Ore which is bizarre to me as they are all better dancers and more likeable IMO.

I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks?

I wonder who is favourite, because due to some viewing statistics, I think Kevin has big chances this time.

Danny Mac is currently 2/1 favourite with Louise Redknapp second favourite at 4/1.

The odds for Rinder, Will, and Claudia are all much of a muchness, and Daisy/Greg are only a smidge behind them, with Laura coming up fast. I think the issue is that you have your two obvious Mega-Ringahs who are going to make Top 6 at worst, and then it's hard to see who else is going to be there at the end. The guy who got the MOST FACEBOOK VIEWS OF ANY STRICTLY DANCE EVAH EVAH EVAH probably doesnt look too bad a bet for the casual punter.

I can't speak for everybody else, but on the very few occasions I have a flutter -the Grand National or Eurovision- I don't choose who I like best or who I think is most likely to win, I instead try to maximise my chance of getting a windfall- so I choose someone who has a bit of a chance but has long odds. As far as I'm concerned, betting on a favourite isn't especially exciting. So maybe lots of people had the same idea about Rinder.
Not that I blew my shiny pound coin on the judge- I went for Daisy and Ore back in launch week when Daisy had pretty long odds. Ore- not so much. It's now the other way round odds wise.
