The show isn't really doing anything for me. The fact they go back in time doesn't seem to really matter, they could be in similar situations in a present time action show.

For instance the team being caught and locked in a room, was just meh, and could have been done in the present.

Yes of course being a time travel show there are changes to the time line, but even they don't really seem that interesting.
Shall we just say that your perspective is ... er ... um ... unique?

Actually I disagree (shocker, I know).

I ALMOST wrote in my last comment that the show could be any genre, it's such generic sci-fi time travel. I'm very much enjoying it, but so far, it's weak in terms of actual sci-fi content. I would like much more, but then again, for the kind of show it is, that's very unlikely.

Oh, it has no SciFi content whatsoever.

Merely having a time-travel device doesn't make it SF - just like the TARDIS doesn't make Dr. Who SF. Or having a spaceship / aliens doesn't make anything SF.
It's merely a prop for the story - and the story is just a set of episodic dramas with a very familiar basis: mission-based adventure with "evil" (although that has yet to be determined) antagonists trying to fulfill a mission and protagonists trying to stop them.

Traditional cops'n'robbers stuff.

I SO agree. And right now, why - if they have a time machine - can't they go back and just shoot Flynn in the head?

Makes zero sense. I know it's a story but they could write that all into the story.

I just HATE stupid heroes!

LOL "Sorry Agent Maulder" rolleyes

Oh and we find out there is a black woman who helped save the day.

More and more we are finding out that White rich men didn't do everything in history. But of course they have to be shown to be sexist. "Get me a coffee love" rolleyes

I had an office job and was asked to go and buy the tea let alone make it. I made it clear that was not in my job description. I think it woke them up a bit. There is a film coming out about that lady starring Taraj from Empire. Apparently she did alot for the space mission but was not lauded being black and a woman.

I do watch the show but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. The incessant hero worship everytime they see someone and we still don't know what is going on. We still have the episode Wyatt meets hs wife and attempts to save her. It I all so predictable.

This is the US thread though, if UK watchers come in here it's their own fault.

Plus, you thinking LUCY IS FLYNNS WIFE is not a spoiler.

I enjoyed the NASA episode but otherwise I'm getting bored on this now. Most of the episodes are just too similar and the ongoing story just makes no sense at all.

I wonder whether we think we are watching the good guys but actually Flynn and his team are the good guys. Especially after Flynn grabbed Lucy and took her. Maybe to show her the truth.

But I don't believe that Lucy is Flynn's wife. That doesn't make sense. Happy to be proved wrong though

That's what i've been saying to my wife from almost the beginning, that maybe all of them are the good guys but Flynn and his team are just doing bad things for good reasons.
