Based on everything I've seen of the rules, if it ends up getting particularly arcane and impossible to split the contestants they resort to "wot Len sez".

Now out of interest I ran the Foreignness, Unknown Customs and Kinsmen Scores for both couples through my Sony Goodman, and got the following results.
Brendan: BLADDY AUSSIE OR NEW ZEALAND OR SAMMIN', INNEE? TELL YOU WOT, THEM ANZACS CAME AHT AND GAVE IT SAHM AT GALIPOLI, OI DON'T MIND TELLIN' YOU FOR NAFFIN' MOI SAN. PRACTICALLY BRITISH, THEY IS. GERTCHA! Anastacia: BLADDY RUSSIAN NAME THAT! BLADDY COMMIES, CAHMIN' OVER 'ERE AND DOIN' ILLEGAL LIFTS AND GIVIN' ME THE OI WHEN OI TELLS 'EM WHAT'S WHAT? WAZZAT? SHE'S AMERICAN? GIT DAHHHHN, ERNIE. Brendan & Anastacia combined score: 4/10 - Hide The Silverware Janette: CUBANS? CYOO-BANZ? GIRRATUVIT YOU PLONKAAAAH, THEY'RE THE BLADDY WORST PARTS OF DAGOS MIXED WIV THE WORST PARTS OF BLADDY RUSSIANS, INNIT? AND SHE'S ONLY WENT AND SHACKED UP WIV THAT SEXY FRANKENSTEIN, IN'T SHE? Melvin: [The Sony Goodman's output cannot be posted for safety reasons, but it started with "MELVIN ODOOM? MELVIN OH-NO'S MORE LIKE] Janette & Melvin combined score: -1488/10 - Enoch Powell! So it would've went the same way regardless. |

Four days ago, nobody would have believed a dance-off would ever be cancelled...
Forty-seven years ago, nobody would have believed that Katharine Hepburn and Barbra Streisand would tie in votes for the Best Actress Oscar Point being, nothing is impossible... As you say, nothing is impossible. Well... apart from the UK ever winning another Eurovision Song Contest.

Putting aside the fact that they didn't "lie about a rule"... there is an independent company whose job it is to count the votes. If the BBC were found to be ignoring the public vote and putting whoever they wanted in the bottom two, the independent company would just blow the whistle.

well its the 2nd dance off to be cancelled in the 14 series and different rules have applied, I'm partly with Ola since when they cancelled it for Tom& Camilla they just let battle recommence, the same should've happened here with a double elimination this week, with the lowest public vote leaving then the next 2 bottom do the dance off

Oh, right, the FACEBOOK page, yes that definitely sounds worth repeating. Did they also let us know whether Anastacia did 9/11?

We would never have been told that though would we? They lied about a rule so why not lie as to who received the least votes?
