Anastacia and Brendan Cole will be performing on Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday, it has been confirmed.

The BBC told Digital Spy that the couple - who pulled out of last weekend's Dance Off due to an injury Anastacia sustained - have been rehearsing this week.

"Anastacia is rehearsing her Viennese Waltz and is planning to perform it with Brendan on the show this Saturday," a BBC spokesperson said.

A rep for Anastacia went into detail about the singer's situation, while confirming that she has been cleared to dance in the next live show.

"Yesterday, Anastacia visited the clinic of a specialist in breast reconstruction surgery," a statement read. "The doctor again confirmed that there was a tear in the scar tissue, which although painful is not permanent.

"She was given the all-clear to dance this weekend with the caveat that the routine is carefully choreographed and she has been given the appropriate medication. Brendan was with her for her appointments and they have been filmed for this weekend's episode.

"The specialist will be monitoring her condition regularly, and she will revisit them on Monday.

"She is doing this to raise money for breast cancer, so unless a doctor tells her she can't carry on, quitting would never be an option. Anastacia and Brendan are now in rehearsal."

Anastacia's withdrawal from the Dance Off caused much controversy, as Melvin Odoom and Janette Manrara were eliminated with the result going to the public vote.

Many viewers expressed outrage, but BBC denied any fix claims.

"There was no Dance Off this weekend due to a confirmed injury," a BBC spokesperson said. "As per the Strictly Come Dancing rules, if the Dance Off cannot go ahead, then the result reverts to the viewer vote."

Good. I hope she does well.

Hopefully she will be fit for the dance off, if she ends up in the bottom 2 again.

Great, really pleased to hear it, I hope it goes well for her.

Good news! Glad the injury is managable. Good luck to them.

Glad to hear it, every time they show her she's enjoying herself. She even laughs at Claudia's jokes A straight Viennese Waltz can be very impressive without any faffing about and it should not strain her injury either. All you need is a bucket at the ready

Good for Anastacia. Sure Brendan will choreo a beautiful routine for her.

This announcement will only add fuel to the flames I think. Even those who are protesting Melvin going out still wish Anastacia well in her recovery, but finding out now that she is back in training immediately after refusing to compete in the DO will not look good for her.

I appreciate that at the time she felt she couldn't compete and was concerned about her injury if she danced again, but the fact remains she refused to take the Doctor's advise on Friday and Brendan toned down his dance for her to perform Saturday. She seemed pretty much ok afterwards, even dancing a little with Claudia, but when announced to be in the bottom two supposedly refused to dance again. Now she is back in training? In a dance that requires a straight posture and solid upper body with arms raised? Even with careful choreography and pain killers its going to be stiff and ploddy to watch I would imagine and still leaves her open to hurting herself again.

As for the 'doing it for charity' remark, that's commendable, but she gets paid the same whether she leaves on week one or stays to the end, so I don't quite understand why that remark was made. I am sure the charity doesn't need her to put herself at risk of further injury for no gain.

Well done doc, Anastacia and Brendan.

What a relief for her to know it's manageable and not permanent

Thing is not just to do with her donated fees. There's the exposure for the charity too. The longer she's in, the more that'll raise the profile of her charity

What is her charity?

Couldn't agree more on every point .
All the prolonged explanations and reminding that her fee goes to charity won't make the whole Sunday night messy scenario look any less dodgy and just wrong .

If people don't like that Melvin went out, they should have voted for him more. And the DO, people moan year after year that they want the decision back without interfering of the judges, it happens once, and what do we get? More moaning.

This isn't true. The celebrities get paid more depending on how far they make it into the competition.

not true.

Stay one month they get £25k,
Then it goes up in stages typically £40k, £75k and if in the final £90k.

That's not what we have been told in the past. They get a set fee for competing, a fee they can negotiate before the show starts but once they sign on the dotted line they get paid and that's it.

This was the case prior to 2010. In 2010 it was changed, and now you get paid more based on how long you stay in.

Sorry to be thick, but do you mean 'stay one month or less' and get £25k, or do you get least if you go first? I hadn't thought of this decision actually taking money from Melvin.

Look, if that it true then I will apologise now, but I was working off of information previous talked about on here and in the tabloids. And it would cast a better light on her fighting to stay in. We all know she is a fighter and EVERYONE wants her to be ok, however I still don't think putting her health at risk is a good idea for money, be it in a good cause or not <shrugs>

I also thought that the celebs get paid the agreed fee.

So now Breast Cancer has completely taken over a light entertainment show. This may well have been the agenda all along.

If they had announced they were getting rid of the DO for the entire series no one would be moaning. If no other contestant was going to get a second chance to save themselves in the DO that would be fine, but if Melvin is the only one who doesn't get that chance it's not exactly fair.

They get paid more if they stay in longer. (It is probably not a coincidence that this change was made after a series where their most expensive booking got eliminated first, by the by.)
