Garlic bread appreciation thread.

I adore garlic bread. Could eat it every day but not very healthy so have a baguette about three times a week. Started only buying the extra strong ones in Sainsbury's or Tesco.

Anyone else love garlic bread?

Sure! It's an easy way to liven up a roast beef sandwich or a bowl of soup. Just soften some butter, smash then mince a couple of cloves of garlic, mix it all together with some parmesaen cheese, spread thickly on a sliced baguette or other textured white bread like sourdough, then sprinkle over some parsley and paprika for colour.

Broil until lightly toasted and enjoy.

I love love love garlic bread. I used to work at Dominos and i love their garlic pizza bread especially if there is quite a bit of tomato sauce on

My local italian does a really nice garlic bread with bbq sauce on (half with cheese half without)

If its supermarket bought its either the tesco finest ciabatta, tesco three cheese flatbread or their value baguettes are actually really really nice as are the asda ones. I quite like the garlic baguettes cold as a snack.

My method is similar to Maggie's: combine crushed or finely chopped garlic with some butter (which you can soften in the microwave, if you're impatient like me) and add a bit of pepper and mixed herbs. Then spread it on toast like normal butter.

It's a billion times nicer than shop-bought bread which is never garlicky enough, and while I don't usually hop on board the "make your own" train, this literally takes two minutes.

I love garlic do anything garlicky (apart from mushrooms) is a winner to me. My husband and I find it funny watching cookery programmes and they will say for example "add two cloves of garlic" then one of us will say "so that's add four garlic cloves" as we always double up when using a recipe and it calls for garlic. We have it a lot I must skink of it constantly

Well this should float your boat!
It requires 44 cloves.

I love garlic mushrooms! Best ones are in my local italian - stuffed with breadcrumbs and garlic, in a pan with creamy tomato sauce and melted mozerella on top . I'm hungry already!

I used to love the Lidl 'Delux' ciabatta garlic bread, but they stopped doing it. Most normal baguettes taste weak and watery to me, but the Sainsbury's extra strong one is nice. It's now the only one I'll buy, and is often on special offer for £1 for a packet of two baguettes.
