I like Janette, she's a good dancer and very athletic, no other female pro can high-kick their foot six inches above their head.

Those were sports/dance type injuries and therefore much less sensitive subjects than discussing details of a stranger's cancer treatment .
If that makes me over sensitive then guilty as charged, but asking around work colleagues and pals there are a lot of us sensitive little flowers out here who just want a simple "Yes she will dance and all is well" or "Unfortunately Anastacia will not be dancing " . I imagine it will be something along the lines of a picture of the bottom 2 fading to sepia while Tess does a mournful voiced recap and the music thunderclaps behind dramatically. Plinky plonk music of sadness as Anastasia and Brendan are shown going to see the Specialist which swells in to plinky plonk music optimism as Specialist explains scan pictures, gives diagnosis and instructions and cuts to about 5 seconds of back in the training room. |

I can't answer for penelopesimpson, obviously .
Personally I've forgotten a lot of "truisms" about telly shows because I'm more into the entertainment side of things than keeping spreadsheets on who did what/when/where and how badly injured they were , but it doesn't bother me at all because I know there are tons of experts on here happy to come up with facts and figures for me . |

I think they will have filmed the medical assessment so the viewer can see the extent of the injury and that she'll be ok

This is a forum. ...we are not all going to agree with each other because we all have different opinions. I really don't understand why some people are calling the op a troll.
The only thing I'm going to say regarding this issue is that I'm very curious to see how it's going to be handled this Saturday. |

As long as I remember the OP has picked one woman (and it's always a woman)every series, and posted ever more grandiose spite and bile about them until they get a significant reaction, at which point they double down and hit turbo, posting numerous threads slagging them off and forcing their opinion of that woman into any number of threads, often when it's completely irrelevant to the thread topic. Sorry, but in my estimation they're a troll, and one with a misogynistic gimmick, which makes it fair game to call them vile.

Actually it does. As a cancer survivor whilst working in the UK, Anastacia is protected by the Equality Act 2010 and as such favourable treatment and reasonable adjustments must be considered by the BBC and failure to do so would be unlawful. As the results show is recorded straight after the live show it may be physically too much for Anastacia to dance again, so a reasonable adjustment could be that if in the bottom 2 she would never have to be in a dance off and the lowest votes polled would decide who leaves.
The BBC have become a little unstuck here by pretending the results show is done on a Sunday as if it were, given 24 hours recovery time Anastacia would probably be able to dance in a dance off. Living with disabilities myself, I actually find your posts discriminatory and offensive. Makes more sense than "bbc had to choose Anastacia cos she's a big American diva" |

I have every sympathy with Anastacia. It could have been just a case of being afraid to damage herself further if she performed in the dance off. You could see she was visibly upset when Melvin went out. I returned to work on Monday with limitations after 2 ops and was told in no uncertain terms several times by one colleague I shouldn't be there. Anastacia is getting a lot of that on the internet. Yet how many threads have there been about a better dancer going out in the dance off? Maybe they should just revert to lowest votes goes out and put the results back on a Saturday. Anastacia will probably go this week but I admire her for trying to carry on in the face of so much abuse. Maybe Brendan told her to ignore everyone and just do what her body tells her.

God I wish people would get some facts. You are not the BBC and you are not Anastacia so step down from your high and mighty chairs and have some respect
