She's not back until February? Absolutely no point in announcing her return this early

Are they mad bringing her back? They should have recast the role.

Had a feeling she'd be the next returnee. I had hoped they'd reacast her, alas not.

I can't say I'm thrilled about this, Rosie was never the most interesting of characters and tbh Helen isn't that great of an actress.

On well it will bring the Websters back to the forefront again, because other than Sally (who's not technically a Webster anyway) have become background characters and dare I say it stale. Hopefully this will benefit Sophie's character who's in desperate need of some decent material that doesn't involve an endless string of girlfriends.

I'm looking forward to her return. I've never had a problem with her and it means more Sally and different sides to her being brought to the forefront.

I suppose if it cheers that sour faced little madam up for a couple of months at least some good will come out of it then!!

From what I've just read on Digital Spy she's only back for a short while.

Rosie used to feel like a missing piece of the jigshaw, but I have felt that less since Sally became exclusively a comedy character.

I agree they should've recast her. Flanagan was no great shakes and is more known for her glamour shoots and making cringe worthy remarks in the press these days. I thought the show wouldn't touch her again after she blamed it for causing her depression.

Rosie was something of a joke character by the end who'd gone through a few different personalities in her time. The worst was when they sexed her up.

Must be earlier than February because according to reports she has started filming scenes already so screen appearance will be 7 weeks time early December. Wonder if the writers would be brave enough to bring her back just to kill her off in a big Christmas s/l?

Any reports that she's already filming are wrong - the press release from ITV even makes a point of saying that she hasn't done any scenes yet.

Sounds awful. Dreadful "actor" and character. Hopefully it won't be permanent.

It was inevitable that the character would return at some point and something of a SOR that Rosie has never popped back for a visit in four years.

It's also a SOR that Sally's never once (as far as I can recall) ever mentioned watching the reality show that she is (was?) in. Surely any proud mother would tune in at least occasionally however dire the show might be. Perhaps it's on satellite but, again, has it been mentioned?

I hope she doesn't come back with a WAG ego, bottox and lip duck face pouting work done.

I hate how they bring back old characters who go off and get a good job, never visit for christmas, weddings, funerals, see loved ones in hospital or jail and then just come back to live with mum and get a dead end job.

Try as I might, I cannot muster up any excitement for this. I might've been able to with a recast.

Flanagan was no better than Sarah Harding in the acting stakes.

Even if they fix the flaky writing for Rosie and try to bring Sally back into a more serious role, it'll be wasted on Flanagan.

Has Helen Flannigan actually done anything else since leaving, apart from the usual rounds of doing the celeb reality shows and turning up for the opening of envelopes etc?

Exactly, it is the only positive I can see coming from it...
