I'm enjoying this season but for one problem. It feels like they don't know what to do with Raj. Sheldon is with Amy, Leonard with Penny and Howard is with Bernadette. This leaves Raj on his own. Every scene with Howard and Bernadette it feels like Raj is being shoved in for no real reason. It just feels like his character is redundant now. Maybe, if this happens to be the final season, they could write his character out before the end of the season by having him eventually move back to India?
That's my main problem with the show, the group just isn't that close any more, their friendships have moved on and they don't do that much as a group.

Yet everyone must have their screen time so you end up with disjointed scenes that bare no relationship to everything else happening and the writers are clearly straining to fit in charectors.

Is that 2 weeks in a row that Howard, Bernadette and Raj have been separate and didn't share any screen time from the other 4?

Come to think of it Has Raj had any scenes this season with anyone other then Howard and Bernadette, there must of been some I'm sure but can't think of any

The writers are struggling to fit him into the show now

Pretty much the whole of ep 2 is devoted to the four boys working on or talking about the gyroscope project together. But in any case it's not like Raj has disappeared from the screen. He is mostly in the company of Howard and Bernadette at present because of this thing he has about Bernadette's baby but it would be a bit strange to see that as not being part of the story. Anyway, Raj's time in the main spotlight is coming. You'll just have to be patient!

At least in Friends they had a coffee shop to get them together.

And that's supposed to make me want to watch. Raj is just plain irritating now. The idea of a plot line involving him is rather off putting.

Raj is one of the only ones that is pretty much the same character in my opinion, everyone else has changed far too much. It's one of the only things in the show that reminds me of how great it used to be.
He can talk to women now. Originally he couldn't, and then he could if he was drunk, and then he could if he thought he was drunk.

To be fair I think with the other men it's their situations that have changed rather than their characters. Howard got married, but he's not that different otherwise. He hasn't matured, or become less of a cad. Leonard got married but is still pathetic.

I loved the latest episode with the dinner party. The woman who has learned English by watching TV was hilarious. (I was gonna say genius writing but not sure if thats just because TBBT has been quite average lately).

I'm watching at US pace so I have seen last nights new episode a few weeks back but I did watch it again last night especially after all the talk in the UK newspapers about the scene being banned or cut. It wasn't cut, they showed it in its entirety.

Still think it was an amazing episode, one of the best they have done in years! The Klingon/Ubbi Dubbi scene was pure genius, the sex dungeon was hilarious and the hallway scene at the end just beautiful.

I must admit I found myself laughing a heck of a lot more last night than any episode in the last couple of seasons.

Then I remembered how everyone says it's not as good as it used to be, well I enjoyed last nights episode and most of this season, certainly better than season 9 IMHO of course.

'She took my 'Where's Waldo!'
'No, no, he's over there'
'Oh yeah, there he is.'

Great gag!

This season has certainly been a return to form in my opinion

Despite only being about a quarter of the way through, this season has had more memorable episodes all ready then the past 2-3 seasons had and certainly more genuine LOL gags

I would agree but it makes you wonder if they are going all out because they know it might well be the last season?

The living changes especially have brought a great deal of freshness to the show, loving it!

Thought latest episode a bit of a shocker - the idea of Sheldon (yes SHELDON!) wanting to 'make a baby' is about a dozen steps too far

Oh I don't know. He's pretty much always wanted to populate the world with copies of himself!
