Wasn't that impressed. Again, DWTS exhibiting its style over substance.

Pretty good. Clean and sharp and accenting the beats perfectly. Great song!

Bored by the her dancing to be honest - and the choreography after sbout 30 seconds - too much non-dancing, too much going on to disguise her lack of dancing. Take away the additional dancers, benches, not much left then.

I was more interested in her footwear than her dancing

I'm sorry if I'm being dense, but what is this topic about?

(I don't watch DWTS. Also, there's a specific section for DWTS in the attic)

I love DWTS and I liked the Cirque du Soleil theming this week.
But I am not that amazed by Jazz (which was this dance) or Contemporary as both allow you to make it up as you go along
This is what we could have had...what? when?
Had we had Laurie instead of Claudia? Think Claudia is on a par.
Had we had Val instead of Gorka? Think Val's choreography is inconsistent.
Had we had Moonwalker for film week? Strictly only allows Jazz in the Freestyle.
So, whilst I remain a fan of both shows, not sure what Strictly viewers miss out on.
Aside from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed jives...
There were other dances I preferred as it happens, James's QS, Vanilla's Waltz (shame he went) but I usually find MJ routines derivative. Though I made an exception for Corbin Bleu.

This. It might not be very busy but some of us visit. Although I am guilty of posting routines here too when the music is the same or if someone has a track on their wishlist and I know it's been used across the pond.

I really do hope Jazz and Contemporary don't find their way onto Strictly. I mean, these are styles that the majority of stage school graduates have spent years learning. They'd probably be more qualified than a lot of pros.

As for Laurie and Claudia comparisons, I've seen a couple in various places, and I'd agree that Claudia is just as good, or at least has the potential to be as good as Laurie. I'd say Laurie has a lot more confidence and conviction in her movements, but as mentioned - a lot of the dancing is style over substance.

I've loved a lot of DWTS routines too. Ones that immediately spring to mind are: Mya's salsa, Nicole Scherzy's jives, Corbin's Cha Cha and most of Paige's dances last season.

It's when Jim Bowen presents landlocked northerners with a little speedboat and mocks their arra-chucking abilities and feeble general knowledgeness
