Cain and Charity .....YAWWWWWWNNNNNNN
It's getting a little bit tiresome of Cain and Charity been on and off, and off and then on again! the writers certainly need some fresh rejuvenation with these two ! Cain and Moira work better and we need a more serious plot with Charity.

They're so boring together. Bring out the worst in each other.
I'm betting Charity will get with Ross at some point before Debbie returns, though. |

I just posted on this. I don't know what it is, but I just don't buy them together at all. The whole thing just feels tired, like they're going through the motions.
I also don't believe he would give up on Moira yet. |

Moira dumped him, his ego took a hit. Charity is easily available to fill the void.

I don't believe it this time around, I did in the past and they used to have chemistry but there isn't anything there anymore... maybe it's been played/written that way on purpose? But I'm not so sure.

I think it is deliberate. Cain's s clearly not into it and is on the rebound, and Charity is seeing it as last chance salon.

Cain brings out the worst in everyone. Moira has been great without him.

It's repetitive but so is Cain and Moira's relationship, just in a different way. I got fed up of them lying to each other then banging on about trust.
At this point I'm starting to think Cain should be with neither. Although he is less 'pipe and slippers' with Charity. Cain was at his best in his original stint when he wasn't beholden to any woman. Charity was too busy with rich guys to pursue a full-time relationship with him. I don't know if Cain is just tired as a character in general or if it is these relationships and won't until we see him with neither but I enjoyed him most between 2000-2006. I know some enjoy his struggle to be a better man with Moira, but for me that relationship changed him too much. And a lot of the time Moira lied to him which nullified the emphasis on him improving for her. I'm finding Charity on her own a surprisingly good watch at the moment. The Woolpack has given her a new lease of life. But the desperate stalkerish stuff with Cain is spoiling it a bit, and don't get me started on Chastity bullying her over it. |

Charity's s quite capable f bringing out the worst in herself I' m actually liking her better recently. It's s good to see her deal with not getting her way.

Cain should buy a house of his own and settle down with Kyle. They could be the future Steptoe and Son. Or bring Amy back and they could be a family. Joanie seems to have forgotten the dear little lad.

I agree with the OP. This storyline is boring and all we are seeing is the Cain and Charity of old on repeat cycle.
What I don't get is that Charity can clearly see that Cain still loves Moira yet she still clings on to him like a limpet, taking whatever scraps she can get. I detest Charity but I can't ever remember her being so pathetic before. |

I love Charity and Cain has characters but like the rest of you, I just don't buy their relationship this time round. For me the final nail in their relationship coffin was Charity discovering Cain had a child with, and threatened Amy. Even when Cain was attacked and Charity was involved in the storyline, it's nice to see them interact in whichever way but not as a couple.

And it is the same script too.
"Cain Cain!!"...Cain looks moody. Charity snipes at someone, says something cutting to Cain..He goes for a passionate almost violent kiss... "Cain Cain!!"... Next day he is silent and moody and and here we go again. Please STOP IT. |

No I don't buy it either, the split from Moira has always felt temporary to me, I knew Charity & Cain wouldn't last long.
He's just been using her, and she, so desperate for him to love her has let him hoping it will reignite some forgotten feelings. It's all backfired spectactularly and she has just come across a bit desperate. Though I do feel a little sorry for her. I'm just kind of hoping that the split from Moira has her going all independent woman on him, when they inevitably get back together she won't need to rely on him to get her family out of trouble and they won't have to lie to each other. |

Its just not working they dont have the chemistry together any more. Cain looks miserable more so than usual.
